I'm so sorry but doesnt match Peanut, as found dog has its dew claws!   It would have been so good to reunite them :-(  I will keep my eyes open though !!    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm going over Saturday   10am to see this boy -- to check out against Peanut as have been in contact with his owner but also to get perspective of size, markings etc. of the found dog which will be better for trying to cross match. The finder is going to try to get some pics to me tonight which will be great if she can. Finder is SO good for keeping him - she is an absolute star  - but has dogs of her own and could be a problem after this weekend. so if match not found quickly not sure what to do with him. I cant taken him in even for the interim as have cats and a dog ( which would be problematic with another dog on his patch). I have contacted couple of rescue places locally in advance to see if I could organise a breathing space til owners found but as I expected they are stuffed to the hilt !!!!!!!Just  dont want this boy ending up at the dog warden. Times like this I wish I could win the lottery and have lots of space for a "transit" area.  :-(    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi,  thanks to you both for looking out for one lost like this boy. I took a poster into Thornbury vets for Poppy ref 15609 and the receptionist told me about this boy and gave me the details of dog and finder.  I rang the finder last night to get some more info on him There isnt a pic sadly, and the finder requested her tel. no not given out publicly. However, my no is on  07854 645298 ( and I do have her tel. no to contact her if owner of this dog is found. He is described as between whippet and greyhound height, but the finder says head looks more like labrador shaped  and also ears are like a lab. He was found in a bit of a state so finder wondered if he has been missing before and then had not so good care this time. He is being VERY well looked after by the finder.  He was wandering around the industrial estate where she works at 3pm on the 4th November. She is not taking him to dog warden due to the 7 day limit. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
