It appears Fern found her way home: https://www.facebook.com/groups/eastbournian/permalink/2626787984307385/
"****now found****
We left the back door open and she has just trotted through! She's managed to find her way home again. We cannot thank everybody enough, so many people have been out looking for her or kept her safe whilst she was running the roads. many who we have never met before. I'm amazed by the kindness of friends and strangers. We have been so worried and are glad she is safe and we finally have have her home.

My Fern has gone missing around the hailsham area. If anyone sees her please call 07881026773. Please don't approach her, she is nervous."

Will update status on strength of the above post.
