There is cctv  on that st aswell on the corner as he is stolen would they be able to inform them to keep eyes open ??long shot but worth a try ! you have to spend time up there today or tommorow and i think you can see over there gardens !! also you have the wooded area at the back where they can walk there dogs so they wouldnt have to walk to the common or the street leading into the estate ! You have to get a few people up there and just fingers crossed ! my mate lives on the woolwich common estate and will send him a text to make sure he looks out as he walks his dog all the time !  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am up woolwich common on monday have to do some work up there ! so i will  keep eyes peeled do you give a poster to concierge ? And ask them to keep a eye out ! You would have to go up there and play a waiting game ! watching the street that he has been seen on ! If he is on there then the waiting game will pay off ! as a dog was missing from brockley and he was sighted in erith and i went with the owner and went  from one place to another and i ended up on waste land and i was there for a few hours and the night before we were there for a few hours aswell, well i was just about to leave and i called him one last time and he howled , 10 mins later he showed himself and came out to me ! took another hour to get his trust but he finally run back into his owners arms !! But it is the time !! you have to wait and watch if someone has got him they have to take him out or if you can see over peoples gardens look !! just fingers crossed and you will get the phone call you are waiting for ! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done CazH for keeping up the hard work. I do hope that your tenacity will pay off very soon. Another 1,000 posters, eh - that should make sure that Alfie is the best known and hottest boy in town! How far away from you is the PDSA vet at Thamesmead as they are situated very close to a travellers camp and they (the staff from the PDSA) were responsible for helping to reunite Blue, one of our long term missing dogs (missing frpm Meopham and found 10 months later running around outside the PDSA in Thamesmead). You sound as though you have a very supportive family and great friends. Hope you get the call you've been waiting for very soon. Good Luck!!!

So sorry to hear that Alfie is still missing. Have you targetted ALL local pubs, as this is really important as many dogs are sold this way. Visit the pubs at lunchtime or early evening when they tend to be less busy. Ask the Manager to display a poster of Alfie inside the pub and also on the inside of the pub windows facing the pavement. Unlees you've already done so, request mini-flyers & print them onto BRIGHTLY coloured paper (I found orange worked really well). Hand these out to as many pub customers as possible. That way, when someone spots Alfie or hears of someone who has recently acquired a new JR, they will have your contact details to hand, rather than having to return to a poster. Visit your large supermarkets and place a mini-flyer under all car windscreen wipers. And what about sorting offices and posties, milkmen, cab offices, any local boot fairs, petrol stations and takeaways. Railway stations are also good places to target, especially when comuters are returning home from the office (they may be in too much of a hurry first thing in the morning). I hope this has given you some fresh ideas and I also hope it won't be long until you receive the call you've been waiting for. Good luck!

Email received from Caz, Alfie was stolen from outside Somerfield Supermarket, Woolwich, collar and lead still on.  Word doc photo's received and now converted to jpg and uploaded.  Caz thanks for the email.  We cannot stress enough the importance of posters and making him too hot to handle.  Good luck and fingers crossed for you.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
