Very pleased to say that Alfie is HOME!! He was found today (14th) in Chigwell, Essex (don't think his little legs made their own way there!). Welcome home Alfie.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It has been confirmed that it definitely was 5th November that Alfie went missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jayne and to the helper for emailing in. I am 99% sure the date we have Alfie as missing is correct as was speaking to the owners last night and I'm sure I asked (but did speak to a few last night!). I will of course double check with them incase.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

e mail from a helper:   Hi There was a Shih Tzu matching Alfie's description picked up in the Midlands but on 30th October. He was wearing a collar saying "Alfie" and with an out of service phone number. Is it possible to check the date this Alfie went missing and/or ask what phone number was on the collar he was wearing? Both are older dogs, wearing a collar, same colour etc, seems a bit of a coincidence. The Alfie that was found is perfectly OK,he spent 7 days in kennels and was then rehomed with a lovely couple who already have a Shih Tzu.They realise he may have an owner somewhere who is desperate to get him back.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Alfie ran off whilst being walked (fairly close to home). There have been no sightings since unfortunately. Owners have contacted the dog warden (who I know is on the look out!), vets, kennels etc and put some posters up locally too. They are sending through a photo to me this evening.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
