Such terrible news. Was so hooing for a happier outconme. I am absolutely gutted for his family. My heart goes out to them. Thankyou everyone who helped to try and find Loki - you put your heart & soul into this as did your family who also cared for others safety. Absolutely gutted to report that Loki has not made it home thank you so much to everyone who assisted his owners in the search, and everyone who shared his missing posters. With a heavy heart, sadly Loki has been found and it is not the outcome we wanted.

Thank you to everyone who has assisted in the search for Loki and to the Mountain Leader who located him and will work to retrieve him safely.

Our thoughts go out to Loki’s family who need to time grieve so please respect their privacy....

Hi guys I'm Ryan Whincup's Mum. (Ryan is Loki's Dad.)

Could anyone with information or questions regarding Loki, Please contact or tag both Ryan & Mikela in the posts or messages as they are both working day and night on and off the mountain to find their furbaby boy <3

FIRSTLY, I NEED TO NOTE LOKI IS NOT BLIND!

He has visual impairment due to cataracts in his eyes but is easily able to see, jump, play and chase.

Ryan feels that this information plays a very important part in finding LOKI, He will come to his name and recognises it, He will chase and play with other animals, but he is scared, so he may not be his NORMAL self at all, so all the information regarding Loki and his whereabouts needs to be precise and accurate please guys <3

I have added a couple of photos to show the vicinity where Mikela lost grip of Loki and where he took off up towards Llyn y Cwn on the path where she then lost sight of him :(

We are hoping this will help anyone in the search for Loki and to help us search in the right areas with a co-ordinated plan.

Having spoken to the warden today at the office, they seem to think that between you all you have well and truly covered the Llyn Idwal part of the mountain rather well <3 Thank you all so much for your help and support so far! We really couldn't do it without you all <3

The last viewing of Loki was by Mikela went he ran out of sight of her after crossing the wall and stile on the path up from Devil's kitchen towards Llyn y Cwn.

From tomorrow Ryan and a group of us are going to take the Nant Peris side of the mountain up towards Llyn y Cwn, ryan is going to take more clothing, Loki's toys and some familiar things along with our GSD bitch Layla who Lokis lives with and adores <3 All this in the hope to lure him out from wherever he may be hiding if he is still around the area.

We have had people looking for him wih drones in the area yesterday and today we hav a team from Canine Capture Uk up there looking for him also. They are hoping to head back up tomorrow s the weather is better then :)

Please use this group as much as you can regarding information and help/advice as we are starting to lose comments and help in the facebook posts, as there are so many of them to keep up with! We tryly are ever so grateful for your help <3

There is a cash reward being offered for the safe return/ and or information leading to the safe return of Loki

Thank you to everyone who has liked, shared, tagged, searched and continue to do so everyday in order to find our beautiful boy, Loki <3 Our hearts are breaking

I just wanted to make an UPDATE on the days so far

I am so sorry if i have been slow at responding to all of the amazing messages and comments it has been very overwhelming and the service on my mobile up by Llyn Idwal - Llyn Y Cwm - Glydir Fawr is completely absent

I have searched these areas DAY AND NIGHT none stop to find my boy I have been trying so hard!

I have found it so hard to leave The Devils Kitchen knowing I’m driving home without him and that he is up there all alone. I hate leaving him

I struggle to sit at home checking my phone when I should be out there LOOKING FOR HIM!

I have seen the RISK up there and the terrain! I would like to say I am eternally grateful to anyone taking any amount of time out of their day to participate in looking for him and putting themselves at risk to FIND HIM! I would like to say THANK YOU to all of you extraordinary people who have been CREATING GROUPS and MAKING PHONE CALLS to all of these amazing people out there who have gone out of their way to look for him

I have taken into consideration EVERY POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION for FINDING HIM!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take care of yourself if you decide you want to go out and LOOK FOR HIM like so many people have! I am so concerned about the WELFARE of those people putting themselves at RISK! It can be DANGEROUS in the WRONG CONDITIONS so PLEASE PLEASE remember to think about yourself and you’re welfare too PLEASE do not go up there ALONE and ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER!

I am struggling with my own health trying my hardest to find him which is why I am so concerned about other people’s welfare!

LOKI IS MICROCHIPPED!

LOKI HAS CATARACT!

This condition will cause him to STRUGGLE to see at NIGHT!

When strangers approach him he will SOMETIMES flinch or back away. He will smell you before he will gain confidence and allow you to touch him!

He is FRIENDLY!

INFORMATION I HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY MULTIPLE PROFESSIONALS:
When dogs are lost in these areas of terrain they can’t help but go into SURVIVAL MODE which means his only PRIORITIES are SHELTER and FOOD.

LOUD NOISES may SPOOK HIM whilst he is in this STATE OF MIND!

If you see him LOWER TO HIS LEVEL and speak in a SOFT BABY VOICE to reassure him of SAFETY and then ALLOW HIM TO COME TO YOU before you then see the OPPORTUNITY to GRAB HIS COLLAR!

CHECK SHELTERED AREAS or CAVES or LARGE OVERHANGING ROCKS where livestock would normally TAKE SHELTER and ANYWHERE NEAR RUNNING STREAMS where he is likely to drink WATER!

HOWLING DOGS in the DIRECTION OF THE WIND in HIGH UP PLACES are a BIG HELP!

The ECHO on top of a MOUNTAIN can BOUNCE OFF SURFACES and CONFUSE HIM OF THE DIRECTION as to WHERE YOU ARE if you are on LOWER GROUND!

I am TRYING to give as much INFORMATION as I have learned to the PUBLIC to HELP FIND LOKI in this post

I know dogs are capable of SURVIVING in these places and adapt a lot better than humans do in these situations so this gives me HOPE that he is still out

Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Consider posting a LOST DOG ad in a newspaper too. Paws xd,
