Sleep well sweet Duster, I hope your lost pals come home soon πŸ˜’πŸ’”
His mummy’s words, copied and pasted
“We are very sad to share the news with you all that we have had to say our final goodbye to our lovely boy, Duster.
After being stolen in July last year, he went from being the quiet, affectionate yet confident dog in the first photo, to the broken, (both mentally and physically) shadow of his former self in the space of three months ....as shown in the 2nd photo which was taken by vet when he was found abandoned in Martock.
We did everything we could to try build him back up and had small successes along the way but he never, truly regained his spirit. His mobility was compromised when we got him home and though we had a little improvement along the way, the last few weeks brought about a rapid decline..... until we had to make the very sad decision to let him go. We can only be grateful that his final weeks were spent where he felt safe and secure.
Please remember his four buddies ....Sniper, Lilly, Chloe and Hunter, that are still out there somewhere and desperately need your help to get home where they belong.
Thank you all for your on going support in our search - as always, it is very much appreciated.”
From myself - RIP Duster, you did not deserve this.Last edited: 2021-05-24 18:13:50 by sheltielover

From Six Stolen ESS NewportπŸ’™πŸ’™ DUSTER IS HOME πŸ’™πŸ’™ Thank you all so much for sharing his details and helping to ensure that we got Duster home where he belongs.
DUSTER was found wandering around Martock, just outside Yeovil and an hour and a half from home.
I would really like to thank Cheryl House, the lovely lady who picked him up, tried to untangle his ears and fed him before taking him to the vet and making sure he was looked after.
He was in a pretty bad state, stinking, filthy and eyes and ears in a mess - and was very shaken. A bath, new bed and a heat lamp has ensured that he is feeling better. To see him so sad was heart breaking but he is slowly improving and a little spark is coming back to his eyes and he is slowly accepting he is now safe again. It will take time but at least we have him home where he belongs.
It is hard to express the amount of gratitude we have for everyone who has been so supportive and have been behind us since we started this awful journey on 28th July, when Duster was stolen, along with 5 other English Springer Spaniels - Poppy, Lilly, Sniper, Hunter and Chloe (in pup when stolen) who are a still missing.
Please keep sharing their posts so that we can hooefully reunite them all and get them home safe too.
