- Article in Horse and Hounds: Terrier stolen along with eight-horse lorry at hunt meet Charlotte White, H&H deputy news editor 18 November, 2008 A heart-broken woman is appealing for information after her 18-month-old Border terrier was stolen along with a eight-horse lorry from close to the meet of the Cheshire Forest hunt last Saturday (15 November). Emma Buckles, head groom of a yard in Formby, left her dog Jasmin, or "Jazz", in the Ford Cargo lorry while she and seven others joined the newcomers' meet at Peover Hall near Knutsford. When they returned at 2pm the box had gone. "One of the riders finished early and came back the box at 1.30pm, so we know it was still there then. But half an hour later it had disappeared," she told H&H. There was one horse on the box when it was stolen, Jackson, but he was recovered half a mile down the road at Goostrey. Emma thinks he was dumped there by the thieves. "I am absolutely devastated about Jasmin," said Emma. "We have contacted all the animal charities and vets and put up posters everywhere but no-one has seen her." The eight-horse box has an aluminium flat-sided body and a white cab. The registration number is Y393 KBA. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi - I saw her details on the Horse and Hound website -
Hope she's home soon - maybe she was dumped witht the horse and is wandering ? Have you returned to the hunt area as she may be trying to find you!
I've let the Border Terrier Yahoo group know.

- Emmab1, sorry to see Jazz is missing. Thanks for registering on DL and adding her details, we will do all we can to help you in your search. Great you have uploaded photos of her. You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible and MAKE HER TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in). Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo). Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone. Great that she is CHIPPED please ensure you contact the Chip Co and your details are up to date. You need to get a CRIME NO. from the Police. Do up date us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering. You can leave a comment by selecting Add a comment just above Comments. Good luck and hope she is found soon. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
