Update from Dawn Johnson:
Antis SAFE & HOME
On Monday 17th August Antis was being walked by his owners who had had him for 5 weeks, Antis was scared by something and managed to get free and run away with his harness and lead still attached. Antis's owners were frantic and were looking everywhere for him but no sign of Antis. LOST DOG Capture Team CIC were contacted and asked to help. We went over to have a look at the area where Antis had gone missing from, whilst looking we came across his harness and lead stuck around a small tree and brambles. Straight away we put feeding stations and cameras in place. Antis didn't show on any of the cameras. Jo, John & Emma went straight over and began doing barbacues every night but still no sign of Antis. Antis's owners Pat & Alan along with April began to put posters up in the area he went missing from and further afield. No sightings for 14 days then on day 15 Alan got the call we'd been waiting for, Antis had been spotted about half a mile away over the main road in a field with the cattle at Hoolgrave Farm, then a call came in from Red Hall Farm to say he was also on their land and then a call came in from the Minshulls Nursery where Antis was spotted at the back of the garden centre. Straight away we went over there and put in 3 feeding stations and 4 cameras. We waited to see if Antis came to any of the locations for food and he did. We put an extra camera in place where Antis had been feeding to see if we could establish his route. It soon became apparent that Antis was moving between the 2 farms and jumping through the fencing which took him to the back of the garden centre in-between the 2 cameras, we think he was sleeping there. We heard a noise on the camera and realised Antis had pinched the the mobile wifi and power-pack, he had ripped it open, think he thought there was food in it 🤪. Twice a day we went to get him feeding regular, he was coming between 6-6.30am, 9-9.30 am and coming and going between 7-8.30pm aswell as coming through the night. We made sure there was regular food for Antis and he kept going back. We decided to place a humane trap in the field where Antis was feeding but we didn't set the trap. We needed to know if Antis would enter the trap so we put food around the outside of the trap and trailed food in. It took him a couple of visits before entering the trap for the food inside it. Once Antis had done this a couple of times we set the trap, Antis came afew times but didn't enter the trap so we unset it again to make sure he would go in it. He came back eventually and went in it again so we set it again. We sat watching the live cameras away from the area, Antis came around 7.20pm on Friday 4th September, walked towards the trap and all we heard was a loud bang, Antis bolted, it really scared him, we wernt sure whether Antis would come back to the trap incase he associated the trap with the bang but within minutes he returned. He spent over 7 minutes in and out the trap, reaching the food in the trap then walked out, had a wee and headed back in, our nerves were a wreck, we needed Antis to take one more step forward to get the food at the very back of the trap yi step on the plate and he did, the trap door went down, Antis was SAFE.
There are so many people who helped with posters, barbacues, online group and chat group.

A little update from Alan for you.
The full details of how he was found etc will come from LOST DOG Capture Team CIC when they get chance 😊
Just to let everyone know Antis has settled back well he had a peaceful night and was greeted by my other dog Sandy who gave him a kiss and lay with him for a while. He was then groomed by Pat to get rid of all the nasties in his fur and fell asleep as she was doing it. This morning he has been out in the garden with Sandy and has eaten all his food. He seems tired probably in recovery mode after his adventure.

- Update from Lost Dog Capture Team. We have located Antis, the camera has picked him up returning to feed at the same place. We need the area to remain as undisturbed as possible, he is very sensitive so we need to be patient. We are in close contact with Alan Schofield.

- AnaGee. Yes, he no longer has any identification on him. He wasn't wearing a collar. :-(
His tag was on his harness, which he has got off since being lost. - 2020-08-21 21:28 AnaGee
- Wiccaweys "now naked" - does that mean no collar/ no longer tagged?

- Antis' lead and harness were found last night, Thursday, 21/8/20.
Night camera and smelly food positioned. What3Words location: Contained.Certainty.Crumples.
Antis is now naked, so anyone searching must have a slip lead with them, but only attempt to slip lead Antis if you are 100% you can get him. Please do not chase - call Alan Schofield on the numbers listed above, and on the poster and notify of location, date and time of sighting.
