A pitiful life and tragic outcome. Sadly any dog can slip our grasp, escape or lack recall. Well done to those who only ever wanted to love her and give her the life she deserved. I’m sure you are heartbroken. Sincere condolences 🥰 🌹

So sad to see the update of poor Gwennie...run free at 🌈 Bridge sweetheart...sadly you didn't get to have the new life that was waiting for you beautiful little girl, but I'm sure the love for you was there and devastating for everyone concerned - what a terrible discovery and am so sorry for you. Time to be kind as I'm sure they are feeling 💔 enough x

Yes have known about Gwennie for some time before she came here when the woman who was sponsoring her asked me about helping her. At the time was helping others and was pleased to eventually hear she had a rescue then this. It’s just the worse outcome for this poor dog. Feel utterly depressed for the loss and so sad for her sponsor who for a long time loyally helped to get her to safety in Romania which is no mean feat. Safety such an important word for these poor abused and neglected dogs. Poor Gwennie. You had a chance for a moment to have the life you deserved.

Apparently her body was found by the roads dept back on the 17th Sept but failed to scan her chip. It was only through a member of trap and scan who went there to check and scan all the dead animals they had that she was found. I find this utterly disgusting.Why is it law for our animals to be chipped if they don't make it law to scan them. We have been looking for Gwennie for over 4 weeks now when she was already found dead nearly 3 weeks ago

Heartbreaking news. UPDATE from Lanarkshire Trap and scan..."💔UPDATE FOR GWENNIE💔

😢We are heartbroken to have to tell you all that Gwennie hasnt made it safe to her new home😢

Gwennies body was recovered from the M74 near Larkhall by the roads department on 17/9/20. Sadly taken as the result of an RTA

💔After a horrific start to her life in Romania, all this beautiful girl ever wanted was to love and to be loved. A gentle hand to stroke her and tell her it would be ok. She never got that chance💔

🌈FLY HIGH AND FREE BEAUTIFUL GWENNIE🌈

We are so sorry we couldnt find you beautiful girl. We tried so hard. 😢

Thank you to all LTSC volunteers for all you did being out day and night to try to find her to get her to her new life. Thanks also to the local ladies and gentlemen who also tried so hard to get her safe💔😢

😢💔We now have Gwennies body and will ensure she has a private cremation with the dignity and love she deserves💔😢

I know the woman who sponsored these dogs over a period of a year or more in Romania and she is distraught as Gwennie in particular is one of the more frightened dogs who have come over and she has waited SO long. I do hope you can find her. Shared on Twitter.
