What an awful end to this poor dear dogs life. I had a feeling he was in the river as close by. But was so hoping some kind person had taken him into the warm. Its very sad.

They run through the grass without even a care , , untill one day they stop and sniff the air. All ears pricked forward eyes dart side to side and then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack... For just that instant their eyes have met together again person and pet, so they run to each other this friends from long past their time of their parting is over at last,  The sadness they felt whilst apart has turned into joy once more in each heart, they embrace with a love that will last forever And side by side they cross over together x safe forever hucknall x

So very sorry to say that Hucknall is at Rainbow Bridge. We have received a message from his owner today to say that his body was found in the river close to where he lived earlier today. My condolences to his owner and blessings go to Hucknall. Run free, and be young again, with your new friends in the sunshine at Rainbow Bridge sweet boy x  So sorry it turned out this way.

I agree with rosieW this little dog should be indoors in the warm my five GSD'S sleep in our bedroom on their own beds. Lets hope someone felt sorry for Hucknell and has given him a better home, if I knew I wouldn't tell.

I thought the same thing as Rosie W so could someone have taken him who knew he was in the garage at night, as it was very cold that night ? Just seem strange no sightings at all. Poor Hucknell hope he is safe.

Hucknalls owner lives in a flat, and Hucknall sleeps in the garage at night and has a dog flap to give him acess to the garden.

message from madmutz:- The sighting in Willingham was a false alarm but the dog has been caught a YORKSHIRE TERRIER with no chip, and is still at vets in Longstanton at the moment. CASH REWARD IS NOW OFFERED ON SAFE RETURN OF HUCKNALL and has been added to the details.

Just got back from searching..have postered shops in village(Willingham,cambs) and bus stops/playing field/near doctors surgery also handed a few flyers out (one to some of the travelling community)they will keep an eye out! we did stop around fields on way just outside village and wandered calling his name but didnt see anything :-( owner going to let me know if hear anymore

Possible sighting ! Email from madmutz as on her way out there. !! Just had a phone call from owner there may have been a sighting at Willingham which is a bit of a distance from her so im gonna head over there now as its about 15mls from me and poster but it is a heavily 'traverler'populated area so may have been stolen and dumped??, had a phonecall from a lady paramedic who was on a call out there yesterday morning and a dog matching hucknall was running around in road but too frightened to be caught,so me and daugher off that way now for a look around.

Yes fraid so,he is usually walked along the river in ely which is just around the corner from where he lives,also a railtrack as well,i will have a walk along the river today and try and get in touch with railtrack,also going to poster at train station as they are all in 5 min walk from this little fellas home...

This is so sad poor dog. There used to be a TT breeder in Littleport as they lived near a beardie breeder I know well, the beardie breeder no longer live there but Im sure if anyone know the TT breeder they would be willing to help as close to Ely. Hope you get good news soon.

I have now corrected email address, and activated the account. Owner, we will do all we can to help you get your gorgeous Hucknall back. As it looks as if he may well have been stolen, make sure you get a crime number from the police, and inform the microchip company he is missing. Your poster can be viewed by clicking Dog Poster 1, just above the details, left hand side. You can print directly from the page. Poster widely, and place posters in plastic sleeves. Poster all pubs in the area, and their car parks. This is where many dogs are sold on. Please check the emails in your inbox for further information, and do leave us a comment.

Copied from circumstances box. :- Back gate opened by person unknown and dog has either escaped or been stolen. Hucknall went missing between 00.15am and 05.00am Sunday 23rd November. He is elderly, 14-15 yrs old, suffers badly with arthritis in his back legs and has cataracts. Sorry owner, your email was stuck in admin box. Have now received your information and updated the details. I have removed your home number from the poster and replaced with your mobile, and one of your sons. I will upload the photo shortly.

Thanks Ashmark. Its definitely Cambridgeshire, by the telephone number. Have emailed all the contact numbers for Dog Wardens, pounds, and rescue centres across the county to the owner and hope we get the additional information and a photograph soon.
