A huge big thank you to everyone at Doglost for the valuable advice given and the continual support both on the ground and via text and messenger during the search. We would not have been able to find him alive and well I am sure without that. We have eventually managed to piece together Atlas journey since Monday, although a lot of the information has only come to light within the last 2 days due to the poster created through Doglost and the sharing of information via social media. We now know that he went from Castle to London Road Northwich on the way to Leftwich where he was hit by a car. The car stopped to try and help but because he was injured and frightened he was aggressive towards the driver and then ran off. He was then seen a Hunts Lock where he rested for about an hour. A lovely lady telephoned the council and stayed with him until she had to leave to pick up her son. It seems that some other people tried to catch him but he ran off again through The Crescent in Leftwich and through Sr John Deanes Grammar Schl grounds and ended up on the dual carriageway between Davenham and Rudheath. He was seen by 2 vehicles, one of which followed him as he went down Shurlach Lane. They lost him at the end of the lane. That was at 7.30pm on Monday night. We combed the area taking it in turns for the next 4 days. No sightings of him then till this morning (Saturday) when a farmer told us that yesterday he was sat on their decking. They approached him but again he ran away. My daughter, cousin and the lady with the drone were at the location when I got a phone call at work to say that she had noticed him at the roundabout where Morrisons delivery depot is. He was sat in the middle of the roundabout. She recognised him from the poster and got my number and called me. She stayed in her car to monitor him and didnt approach which was the advice that had been given on the poster so that was terrific. I rang my daughter and she was within 5 mins drive so she was able to get there and rescue him. A long long story, a very traumatic week but thankfully alls well that ends well. My daughter took him to the vets as he cant weight bear on the left hind leg, but thankfully its not broken. He is on medication and will see the vet again in a week. SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Doglost.co.uk you are totally amazing people Jackie & Michael
