On Tuesday (16 March) Sussex Police seized 10 Lurcher and Spaniel type dogs from a location in Surrey.

They are asking anyone who has lost either a lurcher or spaniel to contact them by sending an email: dogtheft@sussex.pnn.police.uk with your contact details.
They have a dedicating team managing this and believe they may be stolen

Yes thanks, AnaGee,I had seen that but I have downloaded on your suggestion.I am waiting to hear the result of owner's phone call to Dialapest/sdk, with fingers crossed.

solly's mum Idk if you've seen this - pic's are not obstructed by "reunited" mark. I would still encourage owner to call and double check, but I do see diff facial markings. You may want to download bc it will disappear from website

The Dialapest/sdk website is stating that the lurcher found in Farnham has been reunited as of 15th September, but Whisky's owner is going to call them tomorrow anyway, as she thinks the photos looks like her.
solly's mum
Thanks for that, Jenkins-admin! It does really look like her, doesn't it, as much as one can tell from the owner's photos anyway.
I have sent her a text message in case she hasn't been checking in on doglost. We have been having comms re a possible sighting in BR1 as I posted on here before I found whisky's listing. BR1 seemed a long way from CM1 as does farnham but then she is a Lurcher! And when I sent her listing to the person who saw her in BR1 she was pretty sure it was her.Owner said she had been told of several sightings in BR1 area and has been down that way searching when not working.
Here's hoping!

solly's mum ...if you highlight the link and right click to open it will work. Alternatively you can copy the link to your browser and open it that way. It's a dog from Waverley District Council collected in Farnham on 14th September.Last edited: 2020-09-16 17:30:43 by Sandra Watt

The 'finder' got through to the number given on this page and apparently was told that there have been several reported sightings of Whisky in the Bromley area.
Would it therefore make sense to list her as missing in that area as well?
Does it look likely that Whisky was stolen having initially run after a fox if she is now being sighted in Bromley?
I intend asking Bromley 'Nextdoor' members to keep an eye open for her, with the backstory as I understand it, in the hope that we can get an idea of where she might be found.

I have posted a dog sighted in BR1 (Bromley, Kent)and sent the person who saw it the link to this page on the off-chance BR1 being so far from CM1 .I hope we are not raising false hopes but she is quite sure that Whisky is the dog she saw. She is trying to get through on your number supplied but hasn't been able to get an answer yet.
Here's hoping!

Sorry to see that WHISKY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (160219)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
