WOO HOO AMAZING news HUGO is HOME. Been a nail biting time waiting for Carly to post the fab news. Into the BLUE you go HUGO. 👍👍👍

Have added the REUNITED photo we all love to see.

UPDATE: HUGO was located after a tip off which was followed up. He was still in the Liverpool area. Thanks a million to the person who made that most important call and everyone who helped. His owners did HUGO proud in their search and it paid off. Amazingly HUGO’s fb group has 2.2k members from all over.

Liverpool Echo Media coverage

A "desperate" family have appealed for the safe return of paralysed man's "best friend" as they search for his missing dog.

Carly Brown, 34, and Dean Quarton's, 35, pet dog, Hugo has not been seen for nine days.

Carly said Dean, who uses a wheelchair, and his dog Hugo, nine, have been "through all the ups and downs" together and the couple are urging for his return.

She said: "I've never known a relationship like it. Dean's been in a wheelchair for 14 years and he's had Hugo nine years, since he was a pup.

"They're inseparable, it's heartbreaking. Hugo will be missing Dean just as much as Dean missed him.

"Hugo's never known any different than Dean."

Carly said the much-loved dog went missing in the Norris Green area on September 15.

According to friend Lyn Haydock, it was as though Hugo "vanished".

She said: "He unfortunately escaped from his own home after a visitor called late one evening and left the door open.

"Hugo has [always been] by Dean's side. They are best mates and he has helped him through some tough times.

"[Dean] is sick with worry and can't eat or sleep. The family are desperate for him to be home. Nine years is old for a bulldog breed, so they are worried for his health."

Thanks janiejewel, all what you have suggested has been done, just in the process of updating the poster again. Will be adding REWARD at owners request. Papers are going to be tried again and stress re owners need to have HUGO back home. Everyone has been amazing and posters are being put up in the areas. xxx

Poster around the local areas, and post flyers through doors too. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Post a LOST DOG ad in a National newspaper too. And as your partner is disabled, and Hugo is his companion. try a local radio/tv appeal. Assume you have contacted vets, aninal rescue centres etc? as sometines a microchip can slip. Just in case of theft, keep making him "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" The police coordinators on DL will advise you. Hope Hugo is home very soon. Paws xd.
