By the edge of a wood at the foot of a hill,  Is a lush green meadow where time stands still !   Where friends of a man and woman do run when their time on earth is over and down,  for here and between this world and the next is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.  On this golden land they wait and play till rainbow bridge they cross over one day !  No more do they suffer in pain or saddness for here they are whole their lives filled with gladdness, Their limbs are restored their health renewed their bodies have healed strength imbuled! They run through the grass without even a care , , untill one day they stop and sniff the air. All ears pricked forward eyes dart side to side and then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack... For just that instant their eyes have met together again person and pet, so they run to each other this friends from long past their time of their parting is over at last,  The sadness they felt whilst apart has turned into joy once more in each heart, they embrace with a love that will last forever And side by side they cross over together x run wild Sandy x    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email from owner: It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Sandy was found dead today. We very much appreciate the help you tried to give us, and only wish that things had turned out ok. Thanks again and good luck with finding other dogs. I think your help is wonderful. ............................... This is such sad news, just as Sandy was about to start a new life with her owners.  Deepest thoughts are with her new family.  Run free at the Bridge and sweet dreams Sandy.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, they had only just picked Sandy up from Animals In Need and lost grip of her lead as getting into their house, lead was still attached when she bolted.  Owners are doing a brilliant job and all the right things.  A photo is being emailed a.s.a.p.  Have asked if they can register and post an update.  Thanks Alisa, help with postering would be greatly appreciated.   Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so sorry to see that Sandy is missing. It is vital that you poster, poster, poster as ,much as you can to raise as much public awareness as you can. Also contact all dog wardens, vets and local stray kennels. By law stray kennels only have too keep a dog for 7 days before rehoming or sending them onto a rescue and for this reason please try and visit them in person to check Sandy is not there. You cannot rely on them to contact you ! I hope you have some news of Sandy very soon xxx Pam
