Dear Rozbradbury I would dearly love any more pics you have of bob/jack, my email is afmad@supanet.com, hope thats allowed. He has settled in so well and his new friend Kira the afghan seems to have accepted him, he enjoyed his xmas and had a big xmas dinner and prezzies , he thought that was great, although the teddy bear was minus its nose quite quickly! he is the most lovable dog, not found out how to tire him out yet!!! he could walk for miles and miles, shame i cant lol.wouldnt mind trying going to the afghan racing as he runs like the wind, nearest is a 2 hour trip from us though, still will see

That is wonderful news and when the dogs find lovely homes it make all the hard work and tears worth while.   It is much harder at this time of year so news like this is a real boost to us.  www.rochdale-dog-rescue.comLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I transported this gorgeous boy down to handover to Owl on his 'get out of jail' day. I could VERY easily have become VERY fond of him...I had to be VERY strong. He was such a gentleman, and oh those eyes. Taking the pictures was difficult because as I stepped back to take one, he just stepped closer to me... he just wanted to be close. It sounds as if he has landed on his feet with you. I wish you many happy years together. Please give him a big cuddle from me.Would love some more updates, just let us know where we can follow his progress. Roz  xxxxxx for Bob.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Afferz, thanks for the lovely update on this georgeous boy.  Looks like he has found a home in heaven with you and your family.  Great that he has also settled with Kira, can just picture them bounding across the fields together, a perfect match.  Would be great to have an up to date photo of them together even better with his new family as well. Wishing you all the very best of luck in your future together and have a great Christmas and New Year.  Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I forgot to say in my opinion he is definately an afghan x deerhound i can see traits and shapes of both breeds, hes pretty tall easily as big as my afghan lad was who passed some 5 years ago. he is very rangy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As from yesterday Bob has a new home with me and his new friend is Kira 9 yr old afghan,  Bob is very good with her which makes  life a lot easier! he had nice bath today  and dried and groomed he's come up all fluffy, and a beautiful silver blue,  he has fitted in already he is so laid back and a joy to own, glad I was able to give him a forever home. he is a delight. my friend came to see him today and bought him a big teddy and a large tennis ball on a rope to play with, think he's quite enjoying all this fuss, he loves to cuddle up on the sofa and don;t have a nasty bone in his body.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi i was just wondering do we have any news as to how this little one is going? i do hope you find the owners soon. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi- as previous posters have mentioned, he definitely looks like a shaved afghan (I grew up with affies and he definitely has affie eyes!) Perhaps it would help locate him if you put down afghan as an option in the breed description? I wouldn't necessarily think of looking under the description "lurcher" if I'd lost an afghan. Hope he gets home soon, he does look sad.

Looking at him again methinks he is probably more Saluki. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Theres a blue grey lurcher in the lost section under no. 15574 called Finn a rather large rough haired lurcher but I think he is a bit older but worth a look.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
