- Donk, just another thought, can the breeder say when this dog was chipped. That would give some info on the age of the dog. There are several missing/ stolen brown/black shar pei female dogs listed on this site. Most are listed as microchipped. It's possible that Admin here will be able to access their microchip number to compare with the microchip details of your FOUND dog. Are you able to provide the microchip details to Admin here in confidence? Don't post the microchip number directly on here as it needs to be kept confidential. Joanx

- Well done for getting this poor dog to safety, but please get her checked over by a vet, and treatment for the bites and mange. Poor thing desperately needs some tender loving care. Hope she has a loving owner looking for her, or failing that, can live happily with someone who will give her the care, love and attention she deserves. Joanx

- Please make sure you notify the local dog warden. You can keep the dog, rather than hand it over to them (if you are able & wish to) & sign a form but you must keep it for 28 days & take steps to trace owner (which you are doing :) )
