Thank you, we have been in touch and will be carrying out DNA testing! We are hoping for a happy outcome as his markings are very similar and he is the right age and has a full tail. He was also not microchipped so it fits! Fingers crossed and thank you Dawn!

Last night UK Border Force stopped a vehicle from Ireland with eight Springer/pointer type puppies on board. None of the puppies were microchipped and there were no pet passports present which are necessary for the animals to enter the UK. Border Force declined entry and the animals were returned to the country of origin by ferry, unaccompanied. Upon arrival into Dublin Port early this morning they were released to the DSPCA to undergo veterinary care. The puppies are young, between 7 and 8 weeks of age, and some are underweight and have parasitic infestations.
The DSPCA would like to thank UK Border Force and Revenue Officials at Dublin Port. A full investigation is now underway. Anyone with further information or who may know where these puppies originated please email inspectors@dspca.ie.
Please Note - these puppies are not available currently for rehoming or fostering and no bookings can be taken.

Bumping as these puppies are now 10 weeks old. Has anyone been offered one for sale or seen similar advertised?

These puppies will now be old enough for sale so please be vigilant and report any suspicions....a trailer was stolen at the same time so again if you hear of anyone selling acquiring a trailer it might be linked!

Ask neighbours if they have any cctv / ring doorbells or such with cameras and ask on Facebook for anyone traveling in the vicinity of your property at the relevant time if they have dashcam footage. The thieves will have been checking out the area beforehand. Any vehicles acting suspiciously? Have you had enquiries from anyone interested in buying a pup or looking to view the pups... You may have inadvertently told them you wouldn't be available between certain times... Fingers crossed someone has seen something..... Joanx
