- CROSS POSTED from Rescue fb page:
Our search for the missing raccoon is still ongoing! Following the only sort-of lead we've had, we've detected an unidentified large mammal with thermal cameras on a drone (don't worry, a full risk assessment was carried out and all laws were followed. The drone pilot is also in contact with the police to ensure everything was done legally) and a ground search radio team is being arranged for next time to help identify any sights of interest.
Meanwhile, if anyone sights the raccoon or has further information, please get in touch with either ourselves or Beast Watch UK.
Please be mindful that the raccoon is NOT dangerous when unprovoked, but can become more defensive if mishandled. We advise leaving any capturing to the experts.
