Lovely news.  My friend is still looking for her Miniature Schnauzer who went on the 2/12.   She is also very nervous, bolted and lost near open countryside.  I will ask her to take a look at your posts as she is giving up hope. Give her a virtual tin of pilchards from me!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

He was picked up by people at the golf course in Hazlemere and my mum has gone to pick him up and he is now home safe and well and happy to be home.  Thank you everyone for your help in finding him.  We are so glad we had a happy ending!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had the text message that has made my day, Woody has been found and is now home safe, no more details at the moment but I have asked owners to update us later after work!. I have advised having a chip fitted just incase he makes a bolt for it again as he is still very nervous of people.  Hopefully he will settle into his new life and not give his owners any more frights.  Please remember to remove any posters as this helps the next lost dog in your area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Megan. I've went through Hazlemere to Holmer Green tonight, but no sign of Woody.I drove round the back of the shops at Park Parade thinking he might be hanging around the bins - could be a good food supply there. Noticed that one or two of the garage doors were broken - a good place for him to hide, but I didn't want to look too closely as I was on my own! Also checked round back of shops at Hazlemere Crossroads. What about asking paperboys/girls to keep an eye out for him? Also, dogs often return to the place they last saw their owner, so make sure you leave an item of your clothing and some food there and check back regularly.Let me know if you need any more help. We think he was seen again around the rose avenue estate in hazlemere so if anyone local knows that area please keep an eye out in that area particularly.  We have put more posters up around there.  Thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, I wasnt sure where to send this to so sorry its not to do with this missing dog, which i hope will be found very soon. On lost dogs yorkshire there is a black dog with greying beard, they say its a girl. Ive seen that dog somewhere before as i think missing but i cant for the life in me find it. Would someone be kind enough to see if you recognise it as missing please? I think it was on here but not certain. It is B11 & was put on site 6 days ago. Thanks PA.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just wondering if he could be hiding up somewhere on the golf course as he's nervous and it would be relatively quiet there? Has owner let them know about him? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Some background information on Woody, He is a rescue dog, being a failed gun dog - he is a very nervous dog and shys away from humans, especially men.  He gets scared very easily and so I don’t think he would willingly approach members of the public. When he ran away he was wearing his collar and lead so should still have those on, but that does make us woory that he may have got his lead caught on something and so can’t move.

We have put up posters in the area where he went missing and have notified the warden, the rspca and the police.  I am worried that he could be anywhere by now though because there are a lot of open fields and woodland which he could have run through.

The area he ran away THE CROSSROADS IN HAZELMERE  By the Golf Club  is in is unfamiliar to him  as it is not somewhere we have walked him befor so I don’t think he’ll be able to find his way home. Woody was sighted yesterday in a garden close to Hazelmere Golf Club, I have given owners scenting instructions by email and advised to leave clothing and food in the ladys garden in the hope that he may return here. WOODY is VERY NERVOUS OF MEN, Please do not try to catch just call owners
