  • Other Info Nuka is a street dog. She has been in Scotland since 27th September but with her foster carer at Ferguson Avenue for less than 24 hours. She is extremely nervous and will hide/bolt if approached.

Update from Islay Dog Rescue via Facebook:
"NUKA SAFE - NUKA SAFE!!!
Nuka returned to her foster carers garden this evening and we were able to secure her. She is currently in the van, heading home to kennels and we are sure fully prepared to regale her kennel mates with tales of her exploits.
Massive thank you to all of you. To the people who were on the ground, to those who called in sighting and to every one of you who shared the post.
Grateful doesn't even cover it. You guys are the most amazing people and from the bottom of our hearts we thank you.
To the poor foster carer who hasn't has a day like this for many a year - please relax and have a wee drink tonight!! You are a star man xx"

Keep your safe during this years celebrations and fireworks, take your dogs for a walk well before parties and fireworks begin.

Draw curtains and play music to mask sound of fireworks.

Try not to leave your pets on their own during fireworks.

Create a safe and secure "bunker" in a familiar place at home.

Invest in some Adaptil or a thundershirt if your pet gets stressed easily.

Be aware fireworks are not only let off when it's dark...
