Thank you for all your kind words.  Izzy's owners are devastated and as her friends who tried so hard to get her back so are we. I cannot believe she was so close and that we didn't get her back to the warm loving home where she belonged.  Run free Izzy Whizzy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

UNKNOWN
By the edge of a wood at the foot of a hill,  Is a lush green meadow where time stands still !   Where friends of a man and woman do run when their time on earth is over and down,  for here and between this world and the next is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.  On this golden land they wait and play till rainbow bridge they cross over one day !  No more do they suffer in pain or saddness for here they are whole their lives filled with gladdness, Their limbs are restored their health renewed their bodies have healed strength imbuled! They run through the grass without even a care , , untill one day they stop and sniff the air. All ears pricked forward eyes dart side to side and then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack... For just that instant their eyes have met together again person and pet, so they run to each other this friends from long past their time of their parting is over at last,  The sadness they felt whilst apart has turned into joy once more in each heart, they embrace with a love that will last forever And side by side they cross over together x safe forever Izzy x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is just such awful news and I feel absolutely devastated for her owners and friends. For this girl to have survived  in the very cold weather we have had since she  ran off and then for  this to happen seems so so unbearably unfair. My thoughts are with you and little Izzy. Run free and play at rainbow bridge you beautiful schnauzer girl. xx Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Terrible news.  We found Izzy dead on the road.  A lady had rang at 5.30pm with a a positive sighting very close to where she went missing.  We were out within 10 minutes, but we were just a few minutes too late - she had been hit.  This was our first sighting in nearly a week and we were so close to finding her, if only we had got there a few minutes earlier.... You are safe now Izzy, God Bless and good night.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I spoke last night with Izzy's owners and they and their friends have done all the right things to get this girl home and are just needing more sightings of her. She is a very nervous dog and will probably be avoiding people. I  hope she is hiding up somewhere and keeping safe and warm until she is found. xx Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just wanted to say that our thoughts are with you. I have two mini schnauz girls myself and we have been following  your search everyday, only sorry that we are too far away to be able to help.  Getting Izzy chipped and with tag on her collar you have done everything you could to get her home. So, so hoping you will get good news very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have been out again today and still no news.  We were concentrating on posters and leaflets.  We have dome all the houses, farms and businesses along the busy road where she was last seen.  We have also been onto the local common and given everyone we see a leaflet with picture and contact details on.  We have even left them under car wipers.  We have also stuck posters up on trees on the common. We could really do with another sighting so we know where to concentrate our search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tilly I am so pleased you have had some sightings of Izzy. Yes do keep mapping them to see if a pattern does emerge. Dogs often travel in a triangular pattern as they try to get their bearings. If she finds a constant food source and shelter she may stay within an area and you could leave some scents down for her. Please keep us informed of any sightings. hoping she is home again very soon x PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for your comment.  Funnily enough I have just printed out a Google map and put crosses and dates on.  I am not sure how good dogs are at finding their way home from an unknown area but at the minute she is heading in the direction of home. Another sighting reported today of a farm worker seeing her yesterday - 3/12 at 4.30pm.  It seems to fit in with the other sightings in terms of distance, times etc.  She has crossed a very busy road and we will concentrate on that side of the road tomorrow.  Wish we had more sightings. Doing loads and loads of postering.  We have a large common that she may be on now.  We are postering all the cars where people park to walk their dogs.  Also visiting farms etc. as there are not many other houses.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tilly, great that you are having sightings called in - do map the sightings and direction of travel on a map so that you can get an idea of the area that she is staying in and this may enable you to get ahead of her, good luck in your searchLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Izzy is missing.  Thanks for registering on DL and adding her details, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Great you have supplied us with a photo.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great that she is CHIPPED do contact the Chip Co and ensure your details are up to date.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
