Battersea Dogs Homeunicandy
Shops down by the station all agreed to put posters in their window as well as some of the pubs. Stupidly forgot to take the waterproof slips with me so couldn't do the station or back roads but have put them in my bag for tonight!! Am away from tomorrow so hoping to see her in the blue when I get back in a week!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Phoned for an update. Unfortunately Patchy is not home, and owner has had no news. Council say she would have gone to Battersea if been picked up, but they havn't had her in. Owner rang there two days ago. No posters have been put up at all yet, but owner has had some printed today. I have stressed again the importance of big publicity on this little elderly lady. She could have been picked up, but could also still be out there trying to fend for herself. I cant get her out of my mind. Have suggested again that owner gets something in the papers - hopefully we may get some good news. Such a shame.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pankake there is a real good chance that Patchy could try to find her own way back, although I appreciate she has been gone a couple of days now, and it is a very busy area. As she has gone from home leave the gate open to the garden with her bedding and some smelly food like sardines or tripe inside the gate. She may have come back early morning or late evening, and gone off again.   Your poster is available now by clicking on Dog Poster 1 above the dogs details section and it will open up for printing.  Place these in clear plastic sleeves.   Flood the area with hundreds of posters. Posters will make people aware to look out for her, and are the key. The more posters, the more phone calls you are likely to get. Someone may have taken her in and not informed the authorities. Sometimes people just do not know what to do, when they find a dog, also as patchy has no ID on her they may be waiting for posters to go up.   Besides informing Battersea, all your Dog wardens for surrounding areas, other rescue centres and pounds, and all vets, call local radio and ring the news desk of your local papers and get something in there. Please give me that call or ring head office if you need further advice.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks a lot.
Here's some more information:
She went missing at around 1pm on the 3rd (wednesday) December 2008, She is a whippet cross jack russel, resembles a small whippet with jack russel colors; all white with a brown head, white blase up nose and a round black patch on her rear.
She was wearing an orange and green collar with a plastic, grey quick-snap buckle and was last seen on Portland road walking towards Norwood Junction station.

Owner, so sorry Patchy is missing. We will do all we can to help you find her. Your account is activated so please leave us a comment with more details of what has happened and upload a photo for the poster. You need to notify all authorities and to poster widely immediately. I have emailed you some information sheets and you are welcome to email the photo back to me to put on site if you are unable to. Hope to receive or see a photo up on site very soon. Good Luck and stay safe Patchy x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
