I spoke with the man who saw the dog, he said it was a big grey lurcher and not whippety, and it might have had a coat on, so probably not the one that Spotty saw. He will keep his eyes open . He is an agricultural contractor based in Ewen so is around the area a lot and knows all the farming comunity.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Aparantly a whippet was sighted in the same area yesterday.  I know the guy who saw the dog so ill call him this evening and see if I can find out more, Ill drive round there in the morning and take another look around. Is is the general idea that if dogs are dumped they tend to stay around the same spot??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I drove around the area where these dogs were sighted. Postered in    kemble , Ewen and on farmland adjacent to Chesterton Plantation. Spoke to people from Kemble farms, and Furzen Leaze. Its a bit like a needle in a haystack as they could have crossed the road and gone into the park.or anywhere really. I will contact the Cirencester councill tomnorrow, ie the dog warden that doesnt exist also the Highways agency , I think this is important if a body is found.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

These dogs were seen in Chesterton area of Cirencester on the Tetbury- Malmesbury road...the lady was out walking her dogs when these two came rushing past her and her dogs looking terrified...unable to catch them unfortunatly and ran accross the fields.
Has already called the Police ..not interested...and will call the Dog Warden but I doubt they can help until Monday now.
Hope someone picks them up soon... until then stay safe little ones.x

LynnL, helper said they would update the page on the circumstances and area etc where they were seen.  If a SW Co-ordinator who knows the area could ring them it may help to get the information.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to newly registered helper Spotty who was having problems putting these dog onto DL.  Thanks Spotty for registering on DL and putting these details on of the two dogs you have sighted running around together.  You will now be able to leave an update of the circumstances.  Thanks again and welcome on board DL.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
