So pleased he is home safe. Sorry you had some negative feedback at a stressful time. Dogs are unpredicatable at times and we may miss the signs. Pups have a special talent for it. Enjoy him and buy him a flexi lead for Christmas. Merry Christmas  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Right first things first, I am so hapy for you on finding your little dog safe and sound and no worse for his adventure and secondly i think the owner has probably grasped the importants of making decisions about your dog when walking etc and im sure they will not make any further mistakes with his welbeing not that i think for a second that there actions were in anyway trying to cause the dog any harm so please Lisa give it a rest and be happy he is found yes it is lucky but the owners will have learnt and please put the energy in to finding other lost dogs there homes rather than having ago at owners who have found theres. sorry for the rant. merry christmas everyone xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Whilst I am so pleased to hear that he has been found, I am amazed at the length of time he was exercised for.  3 hours walking (before he was lost) is far too excessive. You are so lucky to get him back, so many don't have a 2nd chance ~ look after him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FOUND HIM!!! Police had a report of a puppy being found in the medows, went round to the address and there he was. In answer to the comment of why was he off the lead it was my decision and everything was fine for 3 hours as he wasnt walking or running any further than a few yards infront. He was socialising with other dogs in the meadows very well. As its all open fields and meadows i was able to keep an eye on him .... until he decided to get himself lost! I will take your comment on board ....   Thanks all for your help its good to know that such a great website is available for lost dogs .... will be recommending it in our small community for sureLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope that this poor boy is found soon.  Why was an 11 week pup off the lead on a walk in the first place??? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, unfortunately they do not have a photo of Merlin, will try and find a similar one, he is described as typical border collie marking. Owner has been out searching and is going to start postering and do leaflet drops in the local housing estate.  Have advised the DW's etc need contacting for the area and also surrounding areas in case Merlin has been picked up and taken to another area.  Hopefully after the weekend owner will get good news and Merlin will be back home.  Owner said they will update us.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
