- Great news that Ruben is home. You were so lucky to get him back as Bedgebury (a beautiful, beautiful place) covers around 5,000 acres, I seem to recall. I think I would be very reluctant to let my dogs off there as there are some many doggy distractions: deer, rabbits, badgers, foxes, cyclists, joggers... you name the,, they've got them! Welcome home Ruben and I hope you have a healthy, happy and long life in your new home.

- Email from owner "Thank you so much for your kind email... I am pleased to be able to tell you that Ruben has been found and returned to us... I couldn't work out how to take him off the website as lost, and have only just got home and was going to phone DogLost for some help. I will have a look at your attachment, as that looks interesting and useful just in case it happens again! (which I hope it doesn't as it was hugely stressful)!!! I've only had the dog a week as I had rehomed him for someone... I just took my eye off him for a minute and he vanished! Anyway, I have learnt my lesson and will be more careful in future... Thanks so much for your message - very much appreciated." Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Keep going back to where you last saw him and leave an item of your clothing close by as well as some nice smelly food to try and keep him in the same area. Sounds daft I know, but you could try cooking sausages or burgers on a disposable barbecue - this might be just enough to bring him out of hiding. Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
