We are regularly alerted to sightings of Queen, some of which have been in ideal locations for capture but unfortunately these locations have been made public and yet again other attempts to find her have driven her away.
PLEASE DO LOT MAKE LOCATIONS PUBLIC, TEXT OR CALL POSTER NUMBER IF YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE SEEN QUEEN.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Unfortunately sightings are still being passed to another group and not forwarded to the owner, queenofdorset. This is not helping, All sightings need to be either called or text to the poster number so that we are able to follow her movements. We are also concerned that whoever is reporting these sightings could drive her from her safe places by continuing to search the area.

Good luck am sure once you get her she will realise how lucky she is xx

Three days ago my grandson and I searched for Queen early evening, late night searches are still occurring but day searches are pointless, he had the lamp that was loaned to us ready to use when it went totally dark, lamping is the best way to see her during her ‘daytime’ and if she is needy she will come to the light, my grandson is thirteen and his relatively new eyes which can spot a McDonalds at seven miles spotted a faint movement in a hedge on the farm we know she spends time at during the day, my famer collie expert friends say her days are now nights she will sleep during the day, she will know the difference between ‘interested people’ and walkers night time is simply safer, this is the main issue for the searchers at night, how do we approach a collie in the silence of night? trapping an option still but ‘she’s too canny for a cage lad’ I was warned she also has a ‘huge larder at her disposal why would she take food if she feels uneasy’ anyway my grandson nudged me and nodded the direction to me, I looked and yes it was her, she was approx. 100 yards away, I asked my grandson what we should do but she must have heard my voice even though a whisper, she stood up looked directly at us her ears fixed her merle eye staring intensely, I called her and she vapourised.
The point of this post is and I know the genuine dog enthusiasts will surely appreciate this especially people like myself who have been around working dogs most of their lives is that she looked amazing and in excellent condition, certainly bigger, her coat was gleaming the white glaring, she is thriving and I felt for her that we are actually trying to deny her the life she wants, to walk on a lead, be fed when we say, be ‘placed’ within our lives, I was proud of her to be honest and have to say if I had the land she would remain wild and I would support her to do it, sadly we know when she is an adult she will become a problem and current support from farmers will vanish if she worries livestock, my sheep farmer friends say sadly this is inevitable ‘her herding instinct will be her undoing’, she is also a danger to traffic there are a lot of issues so if she is too live a long life she must be caught but the moral is should she be even if it means a premature demise!

My sons are travelling down with their working Springers at the weekend very experienced at tracking… watch this space!

Thanks, its crazy if they knew anything at all about about Collies they would see how idiotic their comments really are these people are dangerous.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Bumping Queen now there have been more recent sightings.
I am sorry you have had problems from another group, hopefully your warning is taken seriously. You are not the first owner to have had searches disrupted and we understand how frustrating it is at a time when you already have enough to contend with not knowing where your dog is and what can be happening to her.
Vizslamum
Sounds like you have been having a horrible time. There really are some despicable people about. I hope you find Queen and get her back safely ASAP. Good luck. xxx

Thank you all who have helped, we know where Queen is, and she is being sought by trapper and gamekeeper friends. I will not disclose where she is as certain people who are trying to get involved are not welcome, I feel their intentions are quite sinister, they will read this and know who they are. Queen is nowhere near a bridle path this information was spread by one of these people today please take no notice he is deliberately trying to damage the search as he won’t get the medals for finding her, this man’s reputation is mud in dog world pay him no heed, I ordered this man off the search as he was harassing us, to his lady friend whom he comments with stay away we don’t want your help. If anybody finds the dog and does not contact us, we will call the Police and prosecute. To the real skilled and knowledgeable people involved thanks so much, so close today, even closer last night, she’s good, very good!
Only updates via myself please I will not respond to any online information due to the deliberate misleading information being posted by certain people.

The biggest Thank you goes to Dorset Deb for reporting the sighting, it has given the owners new hope that Queen is alive and well and still in the local area, heading back towards home.
Bumped and poster updated. If anyone can print and display posters in the surrounding areas that will be a great help.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks Poochpal and Dorsetdeb for informing owner... the website has been set up that every new comment the owner recieves a link to their doglost page so they can monitor...

Thank you Will, hoping her owner was alerted to this sighting.
Please do not post location publicly as we don't want lots of people rushing over to look for Queen, she must be able to move uninterrupted or she will move out of area again.

After a little jaunt around the surrounding countryside Queen is hopefully heading back to a familiar area where there will be tasty food waiting for her. Fingers crossed she isn't spooked and sent running again.

Several sightings today, Queen is staying close to home and has food and shelter.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Is the previous owner able to help search as Queen has only been here a short time?
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Please let us know if any further sightings, the common is such a large area with so much cover. I hope Queen moves back to residential area again where she is more likely to be spotted.

Owners message via a friend who is on facebook as he isnt on social media himself.....

'Queen still lost despite an all day search she seems to be about Gatemore Road and heath. Thanks everyone for all the advice, texts and calls we are overwhelmed with offers of help, we met a couple on the heath that actually carried a lead just in case they seen her, amazing, one man sent us a photo and CCTV of Queen on his property this morning, we cant thank anybody enough, we will keep looking and update if anything changes, Thank you all.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Still missing, seen on Gatemore Road and Winfrith Common early this morning. Please do not call or chase if seen. Try coaxing with food and call the number on the poster.
