First I just want to thank everyone for all their help and support. Luckily after speaking to someone last night who gave us the name of the young polish youth who had been seen with Diddy and with the help of my partners polish friends they were able to track down the youth. After a little "pursuasion" he admitted he had the dog who he had taken home to his parents after removing Diddy's collar and asking them if he could keep him which they agreed to do. He came home to us around lunch time today and is perfectly fine apart from the fact he has received a free facial hair cut!!!  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm glad to hear that Diddy has been found. A couple of weeks ago there was a little Yorkshire Terrier fastened up outside Morrisons and there was two young lads looking at her. Was this the same dog please?   One of them was tall and thin with short dark hair wearing grey camaflouge trousers with a grey jacket and the other was bigger built with a dark jacket on. That's good news!!! I have spoken to owner's partner and, thankfully, Diddy seems none the worse for his adventure.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Wonderful news just had a text from Zoe. Diddy is home. Don't know the story yet but have asked her to text me with the details.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just another idea. Try to find the local community officers (unaid police can't remember their full title) and give them a poster and all the details you have about the 3 youths. They will probably know of them and even if they don't I'm sure they will keep a look out for them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Zoe if you think Diddy has been taken by these youths they will be in it for the reward. Saturate Selby with posters so it is impossible for them to sell him on, in effect make him TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Once they realise they will not be able to sell him they will either just dump him somewhere or contact you saying they have found him and wish to claim the reward. Either way you now have some idea as to what has happened to him and that is a GOOD  thing. Concentrate on advertising the reward that is the most likely thing to get results. After posting lots of leaflets we have been given some information regarding Diddy   We have been told that 3 youths were carrying a small dog hidden in their coat at 1pm on the day he went missing, also it was at the top of our street. We have been given a first name and know what he was wearing but do not know where he lives, we have been for advice at the police station but were extremely unhelpful. Is there anything we can do?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've spoken to a few people about Diddy today including the local burger van but no-one seems to know anything. However it is putting the word out and hopefully someone will come forwad with some information soon. I'm sure that he must be at someones address because if anything untoward had happened, I would most likely have been called to deal with itLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am very sorry to see that Diddy is missing. Please do try to send a photo into us either by logging in and uploading one yourself directly to his page or by emailing one into us at admin@doglost.co.uk . Make sure dogwardens, vets and stray kennels have all been notified that he is missing and leave your details with them and also a poster if you can. By law stray kennels only have to keep a dog for 7 days before either rehoming or sending them to a rescue and for this reason it is vital that you keep checking with them and whereever possible visit them in person to make sure Diddy is not there. You cannot rely on them to contact you !! Also poster, poster poster as much as you can to raise as much public awareness as possible. Good luck !  I hope he is home again with you very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
