"❗️MACY IS SAFE AND SOUND AND BACK WITH HER OWNER❗️
Spotted in Tiree, Ravenswood, tucked in a close out of the rain! Clever girl!!!
Thanks, yet again, Cumbernauld for all of your help! ⭐️"
Welcome home clever girl 🐾❤️ - 2020-12-02 13:26 Liamodonnell95
- Shes half Lab Half staff. Front view, she looks more staff but the rest is just labrador. She's a big softy. If someone could just get a hold of her and call me, id be there RIGHT AWAY! but no-one can get near her. Last sighting Monday at 2pm, ivanhoe Road. But could be anywhere now. Shes obviously trying to make her way home but just cant find the right route home. I've looked everywhere! 😔

- Hi Liam - there are lots of folk who say that a dog bonds as much with their owner's scent as they do their own blankets, bedding etc so try leaving out some of your own unwashed clothing, bedsheet, etc as a familiar scent. There is also a view that diluting owner's urine in water and laying a scent trail from a recent sighting back home along a safe route also works. Do not leave too much food out as you want Macy to look for more so again laying a scent trail of strong smelling food back home can also work - sardines in oil works well - try leaving small amounts dotted along a safe route home. I assume you have checked with local Police and Dog Warden in case Macy is picked uo and handed in.
. . . . also, you could try https://www.facebook.com/Search-Dogs-For-Lost-Dogs-Scotland-101704501415640 to see if they can offer any assistance with their search dogs. - 2020-12-01 13:44 Liamodonnell95
- Ive took my other dog out, and let him leave his scent/urine on my travels in the hope she smells it and makes her way back. She was last seen in ivanhoe at around 2pm but by the time i got her, she was further away. I literally just missed her by 5/10 minutes. Few sightings yesterday but none today! - Has the owner been given urine scenting advice as leaving a trail might help get Macy home

- I've follow everything you guys have said, took a little blanket thing she eats her food on, its her comfort thing. I took treats out and also my other dog, who she has known since she was born, 9 years ago and had litters with, just incase they could smell each other. I really am trying everything! I cant thank everyone enough, i wouldnt have known where to start! The support has been immense! Thank you all!

- Liamodonnell95 - if Macy was last sighted close to home she may be trying to find her way back so if there is a safe route from last sighting back home (i.e. no busy roads or railway lines to cross) you should leave some of your worn cloting or bedding with your scent on hanging up outside and at your doorstep. Leave a small amount of food as well, just enough for her to want more. Keep checking through the night in case she has returned.

- Liamodonnell95 - I have emailed advice sheets as per my comment below.
I have also commented as follows on the FB post which I understand has been passed on to you by Blair-Sarah:
"If owner can take some of their worn clothing as a familiar scent to a safe place near to last sighting, it may persuade Macy to settle. Owner should stay close by and wait quietly to allow her to pick up his scent."Last edited: 2020-11-30 22:51:00 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland - 2020-11-30 22:44 Liamodonnell95
