- Assume all garages sheds etc thoroughly checked? I would now borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection; they will advise you on what to do. Sometimes though a person will take a fancy to someone`s cat, and try to hide it in their house. I have known this happen until the cat napper saw the owner searching for his pet, and retuned the cat. So stay vigilant just in case. Also try walking around the area, holding her UNWASHED blanket, and wear the same deodorant you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent, and your the one she trusts. Best time to search for a cat is nightfall or early morning. Take with you a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Paws xd.Last edited: 2020-12-09 21:44:14

- Indoor cats that go awol like this will usually hide close by, and will feel anxious being out of their comfort zone which is in their own home, with people they trust; their owners. A door BACON CAT has access to, open wide, and stand aside. Do not block her entrance, or she may feel "Threatened" and run off. Put some tuna/sardines, or chicken in her dish, and place it twice the width of the open door. Rattle some treats too. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with you scent too. Place it about 2/3 metres from the open door. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as her scent will be there; litter contents too if still possible. DO NOT leave the tray/box out as other cats could use it, and it may confuse, and upset the cat. Check ALL outbuildings THOROUIGHLY as she may be hiding behind an object within, as she is timid. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. If all else fails, you could borrows a cat trap from Cat Protection, maybe for a small donation. And they will show you how to use it, and give advice. Also when searching at nightfall, use a very strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Searching for cats is all about scent; theirs, and their owners. Paws xd.Last edited: 2020-12-04 11:05:08
