Owner has had a message to say there was a cat stuck alive on the riverbank (between Sowerby Bridge tip and Hollas Lane) that people were struggling to rescue on 1st/2nd but no-one has come forward yet to confirm if this was the same cat and what happened. It is possible that he drowned and may wash up further down the river if this was the same cat.
