I'm guessing Bessie would be really old now, but this old dog looks just like her, who knows?

I have put posters up in nearby villages and posted them through doors of my own village. The best xmas present would be for Bess to come home and as she usually does eat the leftover turkey.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We went over to both Springfield and Oakenshaw kennels today and looked at all the dogs to check Bessie was not there. Posters were left at both Kennels and the lady at Springfield remembered Bessie's owner calling which is good !  It would be good if  Mount Pleasant could be checked too as Bessie could just end up there as well. xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still unable to locate Bessie. Wil ring all the kennels again today. I have Tuesday off work so will visit the kennels in person and try to find her. Bessie has left behind her 6yr old daughter who we call Maisie who is pining for her. I feel devastated. Thankyou to all who are helping me in my quest to find my much loved best friend.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I will also see what rescues are around the area and will keep checking on Springfield Kennels  ( Wakefield )in case she goes there !! Another contact to try is Brian Wheelhouse, Whitehall Dog Rescue, Wakefield   07831 421715   he also rescues dog from the pounds.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Bessies owner this morning and so far no news of her at all. A door was left open and she wandered off. She has done this before but always returned. She has contacted Selby Dog warden and I am sure she will hear from them if they pick her up. Also thankyou Selby Dog warden for passing our details on to Bessies owner ! Looking at the area she is missing in if picked up by a member of the public she could easily end up at one of the Wakefield pounds or even Mount Pleasant at Hampole and I have given contact details to all of them to Bessies owner and advised her of the 7 day rule and that she tries to visit them in person to be certain she is not there. Hoping for some news of this girl very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
