- Update on Shrimpy
AFTER OVER 3 YEARS MISSING, SHRIMPY IS HOME!
I can hardly believe that I am typing this! Everything feels so surreal.
It is still a mystery where she has been, but this Thursday I had a call from Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust, to say that Shrimpy had been seen wandering on her own in Redditch, they picked her up & scanned her, found my details & searched the internet to find all of the posts on here, & everything that all of you so kindly shared. They called me to let me know, we had a FaceTime call so that I could see her and know for sure that it was real, and it really was her. She came home on Thursday afternoon.
She is happy & healthy & has clearly been nicely taken care of. She has been clipped into a very convincing disguise, and as the shelter said, you would never recognise her now from the pictures I posted when she went missing, so I can only assume that was a deliberate attempt to stop her from being found.
I can't thank you all enough for the help & support you have provided with getting Shrimpy back, and I can't believe it that here we are & Shrimpy is sitting on my lap today!
Her lovely hair will surely grow back, she is getting used to being home, but seems totally comfortable & happy in herself, with no signs of ill treatment from wherever she has been. We are taking it slowly, but she is definitely the same happy bouncy girl that I have been missing for so long.
I have donated the reward to the Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust, & I would urge anyone who felt inclined to make a donation, they are an amazingly kind organisation, & can be found at http://www.raydedicoat.com
FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, AND SHRIMPY'S, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP
KEEP HOPING
KEEP SEARCHING
KEEP YOUR MICROCHIP DETAILS UP TO DATE!!!!!!!!!
If you have a dog missing & you move house, or you change your phone number, still make sure to update their chip, even if you think it's probably useless.
