- Spoke to the person who was helping with the search for an update earlier today. Max turned up back home a lot thinner as we already know but he was clean and does not look like he has been down a hole as first thought. He was taken to the vet today and has lost approx 2kg of weight, something he could have done with losing. So still a mystery as to where he has been...... It may have been the publicity and the posters but the main thing is he is HOME, which has made a lot of people very happy. 'THANK YOU' for letting us know he was back to those who were looking for him. Give him a big big hug and cuddle from everyone on DL and we wish you all a Very Happy New Year. - I heard on the news that he was back, great news. I did hope though that the BBC would put a link up to doglost when it got onto the BBC website. It would have been great publicity for the site and other lost dogs.

- If the owners want to solve a mystery, they will almost certainly find Max smelling of earth if he's been down a hole all that time! Whatever, he will be so pleased to be back - clever little boy. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I'm really pleased to hear that Max has pitched up and appears to be none the worse for his mini adventure. I know it wouldn't have made any difference on this occasion, but could this very precious boy have a nice new shiny ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present? You really can't be careful these days... It made my day to see this lad in the Blue area - so happy for his owner!

- WOOO HOOO when speaking to person who was helping with the search I said he may have perhaps got stuck in a hole and come home a lot THINNER. If only dogs could let us know where they have been. Brilliant he is now back HOME, welcome home Max. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I'm so sorry to hear that Max is still missing. Make sure you visit all local pubs and ask the manager to display a poster. Visit during lunchtime or early evening and speak to as many of the regulars/customers as possible, as they will have loads of local contacts and will be a mine of information. Hand out mini flyers to just about everyone you come across. That way, when someone spots Max or hears of someone who has recently acquired a 'new' terrier, they will have the contact telephone numbers to hand. Visit your local post sorting office and ask them to display a missing poster. Also leave a pile of mini-flyers for the posties to carry with them on their rounds. Do the same with local mini cab offices. Supermarkets, and particularly their car parks, are a good place to target. Place mini-flyers on windscreens there and also in the car parks near to where he went missing. Make Max the best known and hottest boy in town. I hope it won't be long until he is back home with you. Come on Max, show your face!

- Do hope dear little Max is safely home soon. Wonder if scent hounds could be brought in to help? You need to keep checking area where he went missing from as he could return to there. Stay safe little boy till you are found. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Max's owner has put up 'missing' posters asking for the public?s help around the Royal park area .
The posters state that Max is a sandy coloured Norfolk Terrier who is micro-chipped, but not wearing a collar.
They also mention that the pet is missing two lower front teeth.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2008-12-22 13:14 Natalie S

- What part of the park did he go missing from? - it's a HUGE place.. Try Battersea at Old Windsor for starters and all the local vets. If he went missing around the lake at Virginia Waters, try The Wheatsheaf next to the large car park - I was once told dogs found around the lake are taken there. Good luck xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
