UPDATE 30/5/21 from Karen Field.
I received this message last night from Woofie’s Mum and with her permission I share it with you. These words tore at my heart. How awful that Pet Theft can tear people’s lives apart like this despite their pleas for help.
“I just want to say a big thank you ,you and Lisa have gone way out and over for me and Woofie,I cried for relief,I cried for pain and I cried that finally someone cared enough to really look into Woofie story, because as complicated as it is and was it could have been quite easily fixed,I'm not interested in money, fame or popularity all I want is Woofie back,I'm actually a private person I don't like spot lights ,I love my people who are close to my heart ,being my friends new and old and people who were good to me,I love people in general but only the good ones, the relief of like a onion having layers of skin ,being individual pulled backed and seen ,was immense, I don't know these people who seem to hate me enough not to tell me where Woofie is ,I feel quite bullied and intimidated by them and I never hurt anyone intentional or cause harm to anyone instead I protect even strangers from it, because I know what it's like to suffer,I don't know who or what the person who stole Woofie is anymore, but I have permanently detached myself from that person and others for life. I think I might need counselling on how to cope with what that person did. I feel protected by you and Lisa, and I don't know how to thank you,,I would be lost without you my forever friends ,xx”
Carolyn goes on to say about the help from the members of Woofie’s group and the support she has from you all. Without us she couldn’t carry on. I told her that we will not give up until Woofie is home 🙏💔
THIS IS A DIRECT APPEAL TO ANYONE LIVING IN KILLALOE/BALLINA🆘
So for the last FOURTEEN MONTHS AND A HALF MONTHS Woofie has been separated from his family. The family member that refused to hand him back to Carolyn Fahy has caused untold grief and hurt to both Woofie by taking him away from all he has known for 14 years of his life, and the stress of his disappearance has seriously impacted on Carolyn and her family’s mental and physical health.
During the last 14 months many many people have helped Carolyn in her search for Woofie. However, the sad facts are that there are many many people who know the answer to the questions that have been asked about where Woofie is and whether he is still alive.
In order to get Woofie home all attempts to follow the Law by Carolyn and her helpers have been met with what I can only describe as utter contempt by the Authorities that should be there to help right wrongs against their citizens.
We will not give up. We have been waiting since the 4th March 2021 for Carolyn’s complaints to be investigated by the GSCO. We are still awaiting replies from the Minister of State. The complaints have been taken to MPs to try to get these procedures dealt with as a matter of urgency.
Every person’s problems in life are relative to them and we are not asking for any preferential treatment for these complaints to be investigated over and above anyone else’s. What we are asking for is compassion and urgency from those that can put this right and get Woofie returned to Carolyn. She has had her life turned upside down, her Partner is devastated too and her young son is affected too having grown up for the first few months of his life with Woofie. Woofie’s fur brothers and sisters are also missing his, Bruie is 17 years old and still looks everyday for Woofie. Most of all the a
