- Do they hover like kestrels? We saw a raptor that looked a bit bigger than a kestrel hovering near here. We’re at The Lizard NR18. It was above a field this side of the A11, near The Lizard nature reserves.

- From Cloud's owner (taken from facebook)
Our beautiful girl Cloud is still missing from home. She is a red tailed hawk...not to be mistaken for a common buzzard or red kite. She is light coloured on her underside...about 20" tall with a rusty red fan shaped tail. She is wearing muse jesses which are visible if she flies low and apare as leather straps from her legs. She is captive bred but shy and will not appreciate being approached. She went missing on 30th Dec 2020 from Brisley Nr20 5LR and was sighted in the area for 3 days but has not been seen for 2 days....we are understandably very worried about her as she has lived in captivity with us for 12 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. - 2021-01-05 21:46 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
