- Here is an update for this found dog renamed Fliss by the vets.
https://www.facebook.com/dogswalkthiswayrescue/posts/1374764402858179
On Monday we got a message from a local vet who has supported us with aid asking to help with a dog that had been found wandering on a very busy road. They were worried that she may end up being PTS after the end of her 7 days as she was old and blind so we stepped in. Legally the dog warden had to be called and after taking one look at her when she collected her, she agreed kennels were not what was best for this old neglected girl and agreed that we could take her in under our wing. If she’s not claimed in 7 days we can take her on officially. This is a severe neglect case and our lovely vet who checked her over said she wouldn’t have probably made the night 😢 she was skin and bone and found with a rope tied round her neck. We believe she’s been used for breeding given the state of her teats. She was blind and exhausted 😢 as always, we never say NO! Most would have probably pts but as I said to my vet “even if we can give her a good few weeks of love, warmth and good food so she goes out knowing love, she was owed that at the very least, surely 😢 our amazing Gill from Windlesham vets came to us to assess her as she was too weak to go to the vets. She has mammary tumours which need sorting, she’s diabetic which we are trying to get under control with daily insulin injections, she needs some dental work as she has some rotten infected teeth but first of all we need to get her to put on weight and her diabetes under control before we can do anything to help her. Initially we thought she was maybe 14 plus but our vets said maybe 8ish and sadly she could have lost her sight because her diabetes has been left untreated 😢 what we do know is she’s the sweetest girl you would ever meet, she is so affectionate and loves nothing more then a stroke! She’s eating well and the sight of her on a lovely fluffy dog bed in a warm room filled us all with happiness but also tears at how any human could allow this to happen, bastards!!!!!! The lovely Spinney Hill vets in Addlestone have asked to name her Fliss, so please all meet Fliss ❤️
We will need lots of help financially to help this poor girl so any donations would be much appreciated.
You can donate towards her care via
PayPal dogswalkthiswayrescue@mail.com (friends and family) and mark it for Fliss thank you xxx
Sometimes we struggle to keep up, rescue is hard work but this makes it worthwhile. Our vet said it’s going to be very expensive but agrees with me, she does deserves the best after all she’s been through, poor girl.
Thank you to the lovely lady who found her and took her to the vets, thanks to Spinney Hill, the dog warden and a massive thanks to our amazing vet for going all out to help our doggies. She has the heart of an Angel! We will keep you posted..... - 2021-01-04 23:28 Marbie

- Any chance miracle worker Val Grays Border Collie rescue based in Surrey would be prepared to step in to help this poor dog? I'm not on facebook so can't ask the question on her page.
