I am so glad Clover was clever and determined to get back home, she would be so worried about Ellie. I hope Ellie is soon able to take Clover for walks again. Stay safe both of you.

CROSS POSTED UPDATE by Rescue Me from their fb page:

Good News! Clover is Home 💟
We are delighted and relieved to report that Clover made her way home during the night and was found resting in her bed in the porch this morning.
Clover and Ellie are now reunited and cuddles are a plenty after their ordeal.
It looks like Clover was trying to make her way to her Doggy Day Care when home seemed scary (the car accident was very close to home and she tried to go home in the initial aftermath, but was inadvertently chased by well meaning people who didn’t realise this and were desperately trying to help) but it seems she must have got her bearings back and felt it was safe enough to return back home on her second night of roaming. It’s a good example of how dogs can use their natural ability when they are allowed to settle and get their bearings, when active searching is not carried out and when scenting advice from trapping teams is followed. This really can make all the difference.
What an amazing dog Clover is 💟
She kept herself safe and found her own way home 💟
A huge thank you to all who helped and of course our friends at Carla Lane and Scouse Pets 2 for helping and sharing their knowledge and experience to help Clover get back to safety as quickly as possible 🐶

FANTASTIC to get this news this morning that clever CLOVER had FOUND her way home. So pleased for her family especially her young owner who was involved in the RTA and thankfully now home from hospital. There will be lots of cuddling time now. CROSS POSTED update from Rescue Me fb page:

‼CLOVER UPDATE‼

We have this evening had a call with a sighting of a dog matching Clover’s description, in a similar harness, on the move earlier today.

We will keep the exact sighting location confidential, to attempt to avoid people heading to the area to search for her and frightening her further. We hope people understand that this is purely to try to help keep Clover as safe as possible while she is in flight mode and no offence is intended.

We would now like to ask for shares, postering and vigilance of walkers and drivers around the areas of Little Crosby, Ince Blundell, Hightown and Formby. If you see a tan coloured dog around knee height, with a harness on, in any of these areas or any part of Waterloo and Crosby, PLEASE CALL US RIGHT AWAY and we will tell you what to do next. Please DO NOT CHASE, SHOUT OR TRY TO GRAB HER.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, Clover and her family last night and today, your help and understanding is very much appreciated. Clover's owner is recovering at home but is obviously distraught that Clover is still missing.

Please note, we have an expert trapping team leading the search and everything that can be done is being done.

Please keep sharing!
Sadly she did not find her way home overnight as we were hoping.
We need to get the message out there so that people know if they see her that they should not chase, shout her or try to catch her and to simply report the sighting to us so that the expert trapping team can formulate the best plan of action to get her safe.
Please DO NOT CHASE her...this will make her run away and move area and the trapping team can not make concrete plans until she is settled in a specific known area.......

05.01.21 POST:
