Absolutely heartbreaking news from Parsley’s owner, sleep tight sweetheart xx
I am posting with a broken heart.
This afternoon we have laid to rest our beautiful, kind, funny girl.
Thank you so much to the ladies who found her and called me. Thank you to the teams who have been supporting us through this, to everyone who has put up posters, shared posts, and basically kept her in your thoughts.
Sadly she was the victim of an unreported incident on the road.
We're going to miss you Parsley.

From Parsley’s owner...
It's now been 9 weeks since we last saw our beautiful girl.
I don't know what to say at this point besides thank you all for your support the last 2 months. For everyone following and sharing her page, for sending us possible sightings, for the people who have called just to chat and check up on us. The love from strangers has been overwhelming and we are truly grateful.

With so much time and so little concrete evidence, we are growing increasingly concerned that someone has found her. Whether they have kept her thinking she didn't have a home, or they have been sold her under false pretences, we aren't angry, we just want her home. There is a considerable reward for her return, or if you can't face contacting us directly then hand her in to any vets. You can say you found her, it doesn't matter to us, just as long as she comes home safely.
If you've found her and kept her with the hopes of breeding from her you will be disappointed as she is spayed. If you want to sell her on we will pay, returning her will be worth it to you.

If your friend, relative, co-worker, or neighbour has recently got a new black lab type dog, ask some questions, put them in contact with us. Most people want to do the right thing - that is something I have learned recently.

We are holding out hope, we won't stop following up on sightings, we won't stop trying to raise awareness. We miss our dog.

From Parsley’s owner...
I feel like a bubble has been burst.
We have spent the week following up on sightings in the Woodbridge area, and tonight, after food caches and camera mishaps, I saw the dog with my own eyes. It wasn't Parsley.
We tell ourselves to manage our expectations, that until we know it's her to not get too invested. But it still hurts like hell.
So we're back to square one, with no better idea of where our dog is than before.
Please, please keep looking. Please keep sharing her posts, and telling your friends and family. Please follow her page and message with any info you think might help. We appreciate all the help. I know a lot of people are following our progress, and everyone I talk to says please let us know when she is home. I want to do that, I want to be able to celebrate her return, but until then please keep thinking of Parsley.

There has been a possible sighting in Campsea Ashe this evening (24th of Feb), please can you let friends and neighbours in the area know to keep an eye out.
Parsley’s owner will be checking it out but the more eyes, the better.

From Heléna, Parsley's owner.....
One month today.
Parsley was lost a month ago, and besides a few "maybe"s, we've heard nothing. I am struggling with what this means. Does it mean someone picked her up and kept her, or sold her? Does it mean she is still out there laying low? Does it mean she is dead? Not knowing is the hardest thing. I believe she is out there, and I believe she will come home. But without sightings it is impossible.
I am so grateful to everyone who is keeping their eyes open, who has been helping search, and watching social media for anything we might miss.
This month has been so draining, the ups and downs when you get a call about a potential sighting, and the disappointment when it isn't her. Living on a knife edge of emotion that can go one way or the other in seconds. I am exhausted. I want nothing more than to cuddle up with my girls and forget any of this happened. But I can't. We have to keep going, because wherever she is, she is in the wrong place. And she needs to get home.
Please keep sharing her posts, please keep sending us anything you think might help. Please speak to friends, colleagues, and neighbours, no matter how far away they are. Because just one share, or mention to the right person could get her home. I need her back, living like this is impossible.
Ellie

Is there any news? How’s the owner doing? So worried about this girl ☹️ I’m too far out of the area to come and search.. unless the police will give us dispensation for necessary travel! Sending heartfelt thoughts and best wishes to Parsley’s family xxLast edited: 2021-01-15 21:34:40 by Sue
