email from owner As you know we received several calls from people who had seen her.  All the sitings were in the same area within a few hundred yards of each other and all during the morning of Saturday (all calls came as a direct result of our putting up 40 posters around the town).  One lady had seen her the day before in a different area of town but no distance from where she had runaway.  The Saturday sitings again were close by to the start point only in a completely different direction.  She was found in someone's garden sitting behind a bush just at the edge of their lawn.  With a lot of patience and persuasion she was encouraged to come into the house (I believe it took that person about 2 hours to coax her).  She was starving and they very kindly fed her.  They had not seen our posters but they went to post a "Found" notice on a local website and saw that the Lost notice was on there.  She then had my contact details and gave me a call.  She had been seen in the road that this house was on earlier in the day and the day before too but they had no idea she was lost until she was found in their garden obviously very upset and nervous.   Postering was definitely the key to finding her.  People are so kind and concerned. We are VERY relieved as is Emi.  She is non the worse for her experience - she wasn't even dirty or smelly.  Just hungry and desparately pleased to see us.   Thank you for all your advice and support during the 2 and a half days she was missing.  Your service is certainly one I would recommend to anybody who might find themselves in the same position.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners have had sighting called in today as a result of postering Emi has been seen between 7.30 - 10 this morning, this is good as there had been no previous sightings to date. I have sent scenting and mapping instructions and advised on body language and pack behaviour. They are back out looking now as the light is fading.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken with owners this morning, they are doing really well with postering and contacting vets etc, I have given them neighborouring council dogwardens telephone numbers and advised to check any local houses with swiming pools and out buildings Husband has gone back to the area she was lost today and is postering the area again. Have given advice about leaving scented clothing and food near to where Emi went missing from, fingers crossed for some good news today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Some information from owner   Marlow is an area she had never been to before and her first visit to the house we were at for Christmas.  I honestly believe she has completely lost all her bearings in an unknown neighbourhood. What is quite astounding is that we have hunted all the roads, parks etc near the house that she ran from all last night up until around midnight and all day today from 7.45 this morning until 3.30 this afternoon.  We have spoken to dozens and dozens of people and NO ONE has seen her.  It is like she has vanished into thin air.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to see that Emi has run off - dogs very often go back to the spot where they gor lost from, go out tonight or at first light in the morning - leave some smelly food such as pilchards and a piece of Emi's bedding or an unwashed item of clothing in a safe place she may well come back and wait with a familiar smell. Good luck in your search, I will text you my contact details and if you can reply with email address I will send you useful contact numbersLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
