This is just wonderful news Jnet and has made my day, again a testament to patience and a calm approach with loads of posters doing the job. What a clever little dog to survive in the freezing tempartures that we have had over the last week or so, and thank god she had her little t-shirt on - it probably saved her life.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OMG Jnet, that's absolutely wonderful!!! I was really hoping that with the recent sightings so close to home you would catch her soon. What an amazing little dog she must be to have been out all this time through all the freezing weather with just a t-shirt to keep her warm. I'm so glad that she's ok and thrilled for you that you have her back  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

UPDATE: SKY IS HOME. We left a dog cage out for her in the garden where she had been spotted behind some slabs. No one lives in the house so we guessed she wouldn't be disturbed. Grant went to check this morning at 7 am and found her fast asleep. Besides being very thin she seems happy in her self and without a scratch or mark; Tshirt very dirty. She is being very spoiled and spent morning at my work with me at grooming parlour being pampered. Thanks to everyone who were concerned and worried for her. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Two more sightings today is wonderful and great that the builders let you in to leave food. Wouldn?t work let you go to look for her when a sighting comes in? Maybe if you don?t work weekends you could take a flask and sit by the site or the garden for a while like we talked about last night to see if she shows herself. Are you keeping a note of the times of all the sightings? If she?s into a routine it might give you an idea of when to be there. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As for the trap idea I did ask the person on behalf of the dog warden about it but they didn't seem to care much and just said they didn't have the authority and the RSPCA would be better. They haven't been much help either as they are having a refit. I just wish I could talk to the Dog warden and not through other people because its really frustrating; I have been given two numbers for people who do volunteer their time to set up traps for lost dogs and will be seeking their advice. So we still have fingers crossed and she seems as stubborn as ever.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

UPDATE: Sky was seen at 9:15 this morning on Charles Eaton road unfortantly we were both at work until 1pm. I did take Akira up there via our normal walk through the Nook to leave a trail. After no one had seen her we headed home and just as we had got back around 4pm some one else saw her. She was hiding in a back garden behind some slabs and she popped out and the headed back towards the building site. However the workman were still there and we yet again have seen no sign of her. Sad thing is I literally walked past that same spot only an hour or two before. The builders have let us in to the site and we have left food again incase she does go back. Also the couple that saw her are going to keep an eye out for her but the actual garden she was in doesn't belong to anyone at the moment.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

put a blanket that smells of home in the trap.  And if you can, walk around the area near the trap.  If you have another dog at home walk the other dog.  The idea is to leave the scent of home around the area so she will stay there or if you have another dog she may foolow the scent home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You need to set a trap for her. Surely the dog warden will have one you can use.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes what a coincidence!!! After talking to jnet and looking at the map Sky is so close to home now. She's also got a pretty much roadless route she can take right to her back gate. We're all wishing you safely home Sky now that you're so near. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

jnet, what a coincidence, I have just moved Shadow, Chinese Crested ID 16464 into the BLUE.  He was sighted this morning on a building site, builders managed to keep him in one of the buildings until family got there.  There had been a sighting of him yesterday family went to the area and could not see him, he was in the area but would not come out. Told them this is common for missing dogs not to respond to owners calls but once they recognise who it is they will go to them.  Wishing you lots of luck and hope to see Sky in the BLUE soon, good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

UPDATE: She was seen today 8/1/09 at 3pm on the Woodlands road, near club. She is hiding in a building site and we have been over calling her whistling we took one of are other dogs and we have left food. We couldn't see her and she didn't come out; but quite a few people have seen her go there. She is so close to our regular walks and hopefully she can make it home. We are hoping and with fingers crossed and we are so nervous as we had really believe she was gone. Thank you to everyone in Bedworth and anyone else who is looking out for her, we are still willing her home. And shes on the right side of the A444 now, that must have been a big hurdle for her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The area where she went missing is very near to a main A road Mollychops so hopefully she'll stay more in the other direction. Good news that she's still around though. And good that she has her little t-shirt on in this cold weather. Hopefully got a food source from all the shops in the town centre and will not go far.  Jnet, can you see or think of anywhere in the area she might be going to sleep etc? I've just found Kings St on the map and she is definitely moving in a triangle. I'll email you the map link that I'm looking at. I'll also send you a satellite map that shows a really good aerial view of the triangle. Posters are up in all the right places and it's just fingers cross that Sky stays away from the traffic until someone can catch her. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Last seen 29/12/07 10 am on sutherland drive near to where she was lost. She has been spotted on Newtown road close to Town centre; and behind blockbuster on the other side of town centre. So she seems to be busy and possibly running between Slough and Bedworth Town centre. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners have put posters up and notified police and vets. Have also left some clothing at the park where she ran from. There has been a sighting but she ran away. Sky is wearing a stiped t-shirt. If anyone sees her please do not try to catch her but call owner. Poster and flyers emailed to owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
