Good news everyone :)
The practice I left the dog for treatment got back to me and said that the owners were found and that they picked him up the same evening that I found him. They didn't let me know sooner as the ladies on the reception worked Mon-Fri so when I rang on Saturday because the dog had already been taken home, their colleagues didn't know. I must say here that the Goddard Veterinary in Brixton Hill were amazing and that knowing that I was not the owner and seing me covered in the dog's blood they let me in and took him in for immediate attention without asking any financial questions - which showed that it's not everything about money, as I have been in similar situations in other practices where they wouldn't see my dog if he didn't have insurance... The owners thanked me through the vets and said that he had ran away from them and as they were trying to chase him he got hit by a car that made him run even further away which must have been around the time I found him. They said that from now on they will be more carefull.
Admin, could you please ammend the post as reunited? Also, congratulations on the page - I will continue revisiting to help as I never realised how many dogs go missing in my area everyday :(

Hi felicity267, I'm afraid that's not the same dog, the one I found is way smaller but I can see the similarities. I actually live near Wimbledon so I will keep an eye for him :(

Hi I saw a similar looking dog in wimbledon area on tuesday night. Trying to figure out if its the same dog? although it's a fair way to go for a lost dog. I have a video of the dog I saw I can send it to you. But I posted a photo on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1673634466201652/permalink/2880383252193428/?comment_id=2882105448687875

do you think its the same dog? if so I can update my post to share that she has been found.

Thanks for amending the bread - must have clicked it in error. The dog was in shock and was bleeding from his paws/nails so I took him to the nearest vet; Goddard Veterinary Group Brixton. Thankfully he is microchipped so I left my details with them to let me know if they find the owners. If not I said to them that I'm happy to cover any costs and keep him in my flat along with my other two dogs till we find a home. Thank you so much for resharing. I will contact the practice tomorrow morning to check if they found his owners. Last edited: 2021-01-22 22:58:30 by NikosSD

Doesn't look like a Spaniel it has pointed ears. I would say Collie cross x
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Finder is from SW18 Tulse hill so likely to be from this area as does have a Christchurch road.

Thank you for making this dog safe NikosSD. Which County in the South East does this particular road relate to please? Kindly enter the postcode for and report to the covering warden for this area https://www.gov.uk/report-stray-dog (the photo appears different to that of the typical Cocker Spaniel)Last edited: 2021-01-22 16:57:18
