A very sad update I'm afraid on Doglost Surrey: I just wanted to inform you all that Sheba sadly had to be put to sleep this morning as she had lost use of both her back legs and unfortunately this was our only option. Grandpa, along with the rest of us find comfort knowing she was found and went peacefully and that she is in a happier place now. I wanted to say a huge, huge Thankyou to everyone who helped in the search for Sheba, the support and generosity of everyone has been unbelievable and I know that my grandpa is beyond appreciative and wanted to say a massive Thankyou to everyone for all the help and support along the way. Shiba has been found this afternoon tangled up in barbed wire near the River Mole. At the vets now. So so glad that this little lass is reunited. Thanks to everyone that has gone above and beyond to try and find her this week x

*Update Wednesday.* So far, we have only had 2 confirmed sightings of Shiba since she went missing around 7.30/7.45am on Sunday when she was seen in the Norbury Park car park which she ran into and out of at great speed from the adjoining field on the far side. Both confirmed sightings were on Sunday the day she went missing. The first sighting was shortly after she went missing at about 8:10am Sunday morning, when she was seen next to the A24 in the cycle lane between the Old London Rd Bridge and the turning to the King William IV pub. The second sighting was at 8:35am same morning when she ran across Young St in front of a car. The car driver stopped to try and get her safe, but she ran off back down towards the petrol station roundabout (hoping we might be able to get more detail on this sighting later today). There was a possible sighting from a distance near the Boxhill view point at about 3 the same day, but this seems unlikely to have been her for a number of reasons, not least that by then the snow locally was really thick and she's an old lass. Shiba's owner is elderly and his family are not very local, but searched a lot of the immediate area on Sunday and in the days since. The verges along Young St have been checked from a car as has the cycle path along the A24. Many local helpers (thank you all, you know who you are) have been out looking every day since she went missing. Please continue to look out for her when you're out on your daily walks/drives and keep a look out for her along verges and in undergrowth. Please keep spreading the word locally, she could well be wandering somewhere not far away and just needs one person to spot her. I have just had a long chat with the owner's son Graham and they are overwhelmed at the support everyone has been giving them and can't thank you all enough. x

Sadly Sheba is yet to be found but we have had two credible sightings of her in the mickleham-box hill area on Sunday. We would be very grateful for any support in extending the search out in that direction. Thank you."

Someone from a local group just posted this "
"I saw the dog yesterday morning spotted alongside the A24 at the junction of the mickelham at around 8am Sunday morning . Thought it odd that there was no owner around she was chasing the magpies on the path heading towards the little bridge"

I've just come back from going via Norbury Pk Farm over beside river to Young Street Car Park up beside railway, through Bocketts farm & back via Roaring House Farm, Keepers Cottage, Sawmill, The Priory... spoke to loads of dog walkers & cyclists who are now looking too .... no sign.

Another lady has been following the Mole towards Leatherhead (from Burford Corner)is still heading towards Leatherhead.
Another has been through Nicols field, Nicols wood, druids grove, viewpoint by norbury park house, the sawmill and the chalk grassland near the saw mill . . Going to loop back via phoenice fields and crabree.
Others have been throughout the park too.

I shared it to our Mickleham and Westhumble private WhatsApp Group. Several neighbours, some of whom live in Norbury Park have been out looking. Areas covered, the Sawmill, The Norbury Park Farm area / side of the park, Nicholls Field and Woods, The Crabtree Lane area. I know the owner and his son are out looking too. I'll be going over later too. The traveller site have been informed as have Bocketts Farm and local vets.

What a loverly girl. One of my roughs was stolen from outside a shop years ago but she got away and found her way home.Wish you luck i am sure she will be home soon.

Shiba is still missing if you take your daily walk in the area she went missing from please keep a look out for her and if able check in undergrowth in case she has become tangled up. Thank you in advance. J. x
