Mena Viana, Bonnie and Tilly were stolen together and the owner registered them both on one registration, Bonnie was found on the 25th of June and Tilly has been reunited today.
Both dogs are now safely home.

Great news, Bonnie has been found safe...Tilly is still missing

Essex Police officers have been thanked after reuniting a stolen dog with her owner in #Norfolk today.

Three year-old Bonnie, a working Springer Spaniel, was one of two dogs who went missing from outside their home in south Norfolk on 27 January this year.

She was reunited with her beloved owner, Matthew, earlier today following a warrant in #Wickford. Sadly, her sister Tilly (pictured) has not yet been found.

Bonnie is pictured below with Police Constables Martin Baumber and Matt Harkness from our Rural Engagement Team and owner Matthew.

Matthew said he “couldn’t thank officers enough” and that Essex Police had done a “brilliant job”. He is still hopeful that someone can help him with Tilly’s whereabouts and that she will be brought home to re-join the family soon.

Sergeant Paul Downes from our Rural Engagement Team reaffirmed our commitment to tackling pet theft, saying: “We were absolutely delighted to be able to make sure Bonnie made it home safely.

“Here at Essex Police we love dogs, not just our hard-working courageous Police Dogs, but many of us have our own four-legged best friends at home, so we don’t underestimate the devastating impact upon owners when they are stolen.”

Bonnie was brought home after a warrant executed at an address in Wickford this morning by our Operational Support Group, Rural Engagement Team and Canvey and Rochford CID. Four men remain in custody on suspicion of a variety of offences including burglary, criminal attempts, and criminal damage.

Post update!!! My dogs have now been reported as stolen it’s been 24hours since they have been seen and it’s very unlike them to go anywhere! please please keep sharing and make them to hot to handle. Many thanks.
