- Assume ALL outbuildings checked at the time he went awol? Poster around the area, and post flyers through door too. Post in shops; post office too if you can. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Put some tuna/sardines, or warm chicken in his dish, and call him. Someone maybe feeding him (Common problem) Take goodm walks around the area, taking with you his UNWASHED blanket , and a squeaky toy as it ay attract his attention. Just because you don`t see a cat, it doesn`t mean they are aren`t around. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden, as his scent will be there. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle., which isn`t uncommon for cats to do. It`s reckoned that up to 80% of missing cats do this. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too.
Also sometimes a person will take a fancy to someone1s cat, and try to hide it in their house. I have known this happen until the cat napper searching for his pet, and returned the cat. It happened on this site too only recently; cat now reunited. So keep vigilant. when searching at nightfall. take with you a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Best time to search for a cat is night/early morning. Paws xd.,Last edited: 2021-03-17 09:38:38 - 2021-01-27 23:21 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh
