I have spoken with Lollys family and there has been no word of her since she went missing. A possibilty is that  she may have wandered along a track from her home to the road and been picked up by a passing motorist. Her posters are still up locally. Pam xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have crossposted the link to several email groups I am on .. hopefully that will mean more people on the look out - I have all fingers crossed that she is found safe and well very soon indeed.   Stay safe.   I have also posted details on website  : http://lostandfoundbordercollies.weebly.com/lost-collies.htmlLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Two things spring to mind.
1. could Lolly have wandered into shed/barn/outhouses and then been locked in?
2. Are there any travellers in the vicinity who may have stolen her?
Fill a bottle so scenting can take place in your absence.
I do hope she is back home soon.

Message from owner with a few more details:  I?m sorry to say she hasn?t been chipped and was not wearing a collar. She is a partially trained working sheep dog (both she and my husband are training each other) who has never strayed from the farm before. Boxing Day my husband was out ploughing so I took children and 4 dogs for a long walk across the fields to see him on the tractor. Lolly stays outside during the day and comes in at night so when we got back she had her biscuit and I left her outside the back door in her usual spot. That was the last we saw of her, being a collie she will go down to the yard to watch the cattle and potter around but never usually goes far. I have put out posters in the village shop, and neighbouring village, our postman is on the look out as our friends who work at local vets. We are going away on holiday tomorrow until the 16th jan but my mother and father in law will be house and dog sitting.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner sorry to see lovely Lolly is missing.  Thanks for sending her details to Admin, we will do all we can to help you in your search, can you confirm the circumstances, has she gone missing from home or on a walk?  Great you have supplied a photo.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
