Great to hear about the story.  Please, if you get chance, could you also emphasise the importance of keeping chip details up to date if you move/change phone number etc.  Speaking as a cat-rescuer, we get more stray chipped cats with out-of-date details than we do with up-to-date details.

Just had a very excited owner on the phone, Dollie is home, owners have postered like there's no tomorrow and had the call this afternoon, Dollie was picked up limping by a member of the public and taken to a vet where she was scanned and the rest you know, RSPCA officer has just returned her to owners. POSTER POWER AGAIN - Dollie became TOO HOT TO HANDLELast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

New picture on site showing Dollies marking and ears - should make her quite easy to ID. Owners are doing a great job of postering, hope that this and ad in Luton News will bring the all important call.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken with owners who are trying to get a better picture showing markings better. They are doing a great job postering - have suggested contacting Luton Herald to see if they will run a story. There is some CCTV of thieves leading the dog away so hopefully the police have had a chance  to see this and may be able to act on it. Posters have been emailed out to local helper that I have email details for - if you would like to get updates for local dogs until the website is back up to full power then please text your email to my spare phone 07773 968 795 with your screen nameLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
