Donna
Thank you for all your kind words.  We have been overwhelmed by everyones support over the last few weeks.  Thank you especially to Linda at Dog Lost who's support and information was invaluable to us.  We would also like to thank the kind people of Kilsyth for all the calls received with information and for leaving food out for Honey and giving her shelter these past few weeks. We do not know how our wee girl ended up so far from home but I would like to say to anyone who has a missing pet to never give up hope. Donna and RossLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am absolutely gutted to hear just now, by a phone call from Donna (Honey's owner) that she has been hit on the motorway and is now at Rainbow bridge. I am so sorry Donna. After all this time on the run - 9 weeks - and now this happens. Poor baby. God bless you Honey sweetheart. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Honey is on the move. She has now been seen in Denny and Twechar areas. Please look out for her. Are there any helpers out there in this area? Please call the number on Honey' page if you can help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kilsyth Chronicle has run an article on Honey. Unfortunately no picture with it, but every bit of help is appreciated.Come on Honey, your mum wants you home. All you need to do is to go to one of the many people looking for you, who offers you a kind hand.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for that Noodlesdarling. When I spoke to Donna yesterday she said she had informed the dog warden of the developments and I did mention asking about a humane trap for Honey, so I think she was going to get onto it straight away, but if you would mention it to the dog warden again just in case, that would be great. I will send another poster out to the rescues just as a reminder, seeing as Honey has been missing a while now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

if honey has made her way to Kilsyth it might be worth while contacting North Lanarkshire Council as they do the dog warden for that area (they bring the dogs to us here at Lanarkshire ARRC).  I'm sure they have put out traps before for people who were unable to recapture their dog so they might be able to help especially if it is disguised near the shelter locals have put up.  Cant remember the number for North Lanarkshire council off hand by will post it tomorrow. If the dog wardens come in to the centre tomorrow i will also mention it to them for youLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been many sightings of Honey recently due to posters, in Kilsyth, around  Ardrie road and Howe road which is about 20 miles away from where she went missing. The sightings are almost 100% certain that it is Honey. Are there any helpers out there can assist with searching? She has been going to a shelter made up by locals, but has not been back in the last few days. Anyone who can help, please call Donna on the number on Honey's poster. There are reports of a similar looking dog having been clipped by a car in the area,so she could be laying low somewhere. PLEASE look out for this little lady of 13 years old. She is frightened and won't go to anyone so please be careful and quiet if she is seen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been no recent sightings of Honey and no news either. Please look out for this girl. She does not really resemble a whippet so could be mistaken for another breed. Owner is still actively looking and contacting kennels every day.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This dog went missing while the owner was visiting from the Isle of Jura. There have been two sightings not far from where she went missing. The dog will not know the area where she has gone missing.  Have given the owner advice. Please look out for her.She is nervous but friendly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
