Pleased to see that Charley has now settled & feeling her old self. The trauma can take weeks to recover from . Snow at the depths we've had must be a little daunting when you've only got little legs. Stay in & keep warm Charley, much better idea. :--) Thanks for the update Matt.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to let people know that Charley has been back home for three weeks now.  She was not herself for the first 7-10 days but is back to the old Charley now.  This week was the first time Charley had seen deep snow, she didn't like it!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
So pleased to read that Charley is back! I used to take my cocker Barney out in my car and wouldn't think anything of leaving him in it whilst I popped in to Tesco or wherever. Since finding this site though I've realised that it's just not worth taking the risk. Good that Charley appears to have been well looked after. Welcome home girl xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes it's marvellous news.  Have added a picture of Charley from a few weeks ago taken by a mobile phone (we have had difficulty transferring it to our PC) - as you can see the picture we found was a good resemblance. From the voice of the man who called and the amount of money they asked for, we think it was the same person who had called before Christmas and for whatever reason had pulled out of the original meet.  We would like to think that the reason was in fact that girl looking after Charley had fallen in love with her and had not wanted to give her back.  Thanks once again for everyone's support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Marvellous News!  We have found Charley! We had a call from someone saying they had Charley and we met them in a pub.  We paid a reward but it was clear that Charley had been well looked after.  The girl who handed Charley over was in tears.  Thanks to everyone for their messages of support.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi 3 years ago our yorkie Billy was stolen from our van in ikea on the north circular I dont know if it is the same Ikea store but they were very unhelpful we did get billy back (a lot of the old doglost will remember the story) Billy was taken to Harlow and released as he was obviously to old for what they wanted email all the vets in Harlow and sourrounding areas tell the dogwarden to check that area and try and get some posters around the travelers sites and general area it might be the same morons I hope this helps. good luck   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for all the kind words of support.  The police Crime Reference number is 1930234/08.  We put loads of posters offering a reward in the car park that night, and have gone back since to put more posters up.  We have had a number of telephone calls suggesting locations where Charley might be and we have then put posters in those places.  One person even phoned to say they had found Charley and so we went to meet them outside a tube station but they didn't turn up.. PS:  Photo is one we have found on the internet of a very similar bichon, but Charley has a black nose..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Charley is missing.  Thanks for registering her details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Great you have uploaded a photo of her.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible and MAKE HER TOO HOT TO HANDLE, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Try and get some media coverage. Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great She is Chipped do contact the Chip Co and report her missing and check you details are up to date.  You must also ensure you get a CRIME NO. from the Police. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
