- Hi Habari-Don't give up hope we are blitzing the South East with coverage to get more people on the website to check the missing dogs SOMEONE SOMEWHERE KNOWS WHERE AMBER IS! We are just trying to get in touch with them. We were also on Southern Counties Radio yesterday morning and invited back in the evening-probably due to demand-Also Radio Kent and 2 other Radio stations-and this week coming up we are in most of the local papers including the Sussex Times.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Great coverage on Newsroom South East last night. Jayne, the police seem to keep denying that there is any problem at all out there with dog theft. Is there anything we can do to shame the police into doing something about it? I have had interviews with the local crime prevention dept. and they claim they are doing all they can.....which is nothing. Good coverage for the website as well last night. Still no info about Amber, 4 weeks now and we are losing heartLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Any other local newspapers that you can get a photograph into - we put a photo of barney in Kent Messenger, Wealden Advertisier & Friday Free-ads (the free ads put Barney on front page!). BBC Radio Kent has a dog lost section and they put out calls for help a 2/3 times a day. Have you put posters up in Fish & chip shops? on telegraph poles near Post Boxes? Also local vets may include a poster in their monthly bill run. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Brilliant news-a photo in the paper will jog someones memory or make the dog too hot to handle and you will probably get a phone call like the others asking for the reward. Fingers crossed! Can you send me a copy of the Kent Courier when it comes out, thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Yes,Jayne, Rebecca from the Courier has been on again just now and hopefully they will be running the story on Friday. Have had several phone calls about the JR found West Malling way. It amazes me that nobody has called up to claim him. Thanks everyone for your continued support, we were all feeling a bit down last night wondering what we could do next. Now feeling a bit more positiveLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- The Kent Courier spoke to me yesterday about the Kent Police's attitude towards dog theft and seemed really interested-I am pretty sure they will be doing the story-they also asked for the numbers of other people who have recovered their dogs in your area, and the dog wardens number.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks for the offer jackqueen. All I can suggest is that you put out more posters. We have put up over 350 so far and tried to cover bus depots, milk depots, we have visited kennels and vets. Anywhere you think a poster will be seen by the people we are trying to get to would be really helpful. I spoke to the Courier yesterday about Rural crime in general and they did say they will be doing another piece on dog theft, however if a more interesting story comes in dog theft get pushed down the order of importance. A photo in the Courier would help enormously.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Jayne Thanks for e mail about Amber. We live in Tonbridge and after 2 weeks were re united with our Jack russell I cannot stress enough how important it is not to give up hope and to put posters everywhere, we ended up with lots of encouraging feed back that gave us hope and it paid off in the end, is there anything we can do? Have you tried Tun wells high school and Arriva bus depot? Is it tun wells or Penhurst he went missing from or was he taken? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Jayne and dcfarm. We laminated another 100 posters last night and will be having another blitz on Saturday in the surrounding area. The idea of the supermarket delivery drivers is a good one we haven't covered as yet. Apart from that we have investigated just about every lead so far. I spoke to someone on your mobile number yesterday dcfarm and it was a very useful conversation. We are being very positive!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hello, I am barney's owner - reunited on 21st TN25 - I think that TWells is probably a bit too far afield for the chap that took Barney but I have given Jayne the tel no. of the policeman who has details. Do not give up hope - have you given posters to supermarket home delivery drivers - for them & the depot, courier co's. Also we had a few people working on our behalf contacting local gypsy camps and I think they helped us get Barney back - do you have any leads? vets? local hunts? terrier men? bombard the area around the camps. Please feel free to email me if you would like more info. or if I can help in any way.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
