Spoken to owner.  Toby is HOME.  They had been visiting a family member on Christmas day and he got out of the back garden.  The right authorities etc were contacted, owner got a call from a couple who had seen him in a garden but he would not go to them.  They kept going back to leave him food and contacted the RSPCA who passed owners number onto the them.  When owners went to the garden they got him back this was on New Years day.  The area he was found in is Golborne Wigan.  The poor little mite had been out in all this cold for a week but thankfully is safely home.  Have advised they get him chipped asap.  'THANK YOU' to the very kind couple and to the RSPCA.  Welcome home Toby.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Paula Marie for posting on Toby's page.  An email has been sent to his owner for an update and if he is still missing to provide us with further details and a photo.  Will also try and contact them by phone later today as it is early hours now.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Toby is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   Could please send a photo to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16476).  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been uploaded by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on the circumstances of how he has gone missing, is it from home or on a walk and which part of Wigan?   Can you also let us know who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
